Green Design

With cement, lime, sand and water, YTONG Autoclaved Aerated Concrete is manufactured from inorganic material, which is free of allergenic substances and has no radioactivity. Thanks to progressive technology and advanced equipment, YTONG guarantees its high quality products and reliable technical characteristics.

Durability

YTONG products are made of inorganic materials and the durability is quite similar to concrete. In Europe, there are many YTONG products used as a wall material and they are still intact after 80 years of service.

Fast Construction

Due to the light weight, YTONG AAC can be handled and very easily processed on-site. Thanks to the accurate product size, the finished wall is easily and quickly coated with plaster.

Fire Insulation

Experiment results show that 10 cm thick walls made of YTONG can stand against fire for at least 4 hours. Moreover, YTONG AAC is not only non-combustible, it’s porous structure also make a low temperature rise on the other side of the wall from the fire.

Thermal Insulation

As a self-insulating material, YTONG AAC does not need additional insulation material such as EPS. Tests show using YTONG AAC can help to reduce around 80% of energy consumption compared with an ordinary concrete wall.

Lightweight

YTONG AAC is up to 3 times lighter than concrete building material representing a great advantage in materials handling and transportation. Moreover, the light YTONG AAC wall may reduce more than 10% of the foundation and structural costs in high-rise buildings.

Acoustic Performance

The internal structure of YTONG AAC is like bread - it is evenly distributed and has a large number of closed pores, therefore it has excellent performance in acoustics and noise insulation.

YTONG BLOCK

YTONG Blocks are cut on all six faces with extreme accuracy and installed by the use of a thin bed adhesive mortar to provide and complete and consistent wall strength. The strength of the YTONG wall is about 80% of the YTONG Block itself while clay brick wall is only 30%. The durability of YTONG Block is quite similar to that of concrete. In Europe, you can find many buildings made with YTONG over 80 years ago and they are still intact, confirming the longevity and durability of the product. YTONG Blocks are intended for use in non-load bearing wall, load-bearing wall and thermal insulation applications.

In-fill Block

Thanks to its light weight, YTONG Block is widely used in non-load-bearing walls.

In addition to its versatility, the YTONG Block is characterized by its ease of working and construction. The blocks can easily be sawn. This results in a relatively high construction speed which delivers cost savings, particularly in high-rise projects. The construction advantages of the YTONG Block are light weight, simple to lay, quick to assemble, simple to saw/cut and chase and it has unlimited finishing possibilities.

The YTONG Block is therefore very efficient for house construction, commercial and industrial buildings.

Load-bearing Block

YTONG Block can also meet structural requirements for erecting load-bearing walls. This, especially in Europe, is considered one of the best structural solutions for single family houses and villas. The product has unlimited construction possibilities and good building physical properties.

Composed of YTONG Load-bearing Block, YTONG Lintel and YTONG Panel, YTONG Load-bearing systems can be offered as a total solution for an entire building to a maximum 20 meters high, which is equivalent to a 6-storey building. With this system, those common issues like cracking, water leakage or seismic concerns are no longer relevant for clients.

YTONG Lintel for Non-Load bearing walls

YTONG LINTEL

YTONG steel reinforced lintels are supplementary components used in conjunction with the blocks and are widely used over portals, doors, windows and fireplaces. It has been proven that using YTONG lintels can accelerate the construction time and reduce the labor cost compared with traditional methods.

Composed of the same raw material as YTONG Block, YTONG Lintels ensures the wall is solid and free from material incompatibility with AAC Block and avoids thermal bridging combined with a uniform substrate for rendering.

The size of YTONG lintels can be customized in line with the opening and wall thickness up to a maximum clear span of 3000mm. The reinforcement rebar is the key factor of the YTONG lintel and guarantees the correct load bearing capacity.

Various types of lintels are available depending on the purpose:

Use for any non-load bearing walls. These lintels are available for openings having a clear length of up to 2600mm. The bearing length of support on both ends must be at least 200 mm.

YTONG Lintel for Load bearing wallsUse for any load bearing walls. There lintels are available for openings having a clear length of up to 2500mm. The bearing length of support must be at least 200 mm. For openings over 1300 mm, the bearing length of support on both ends is recommend be at least 250 mm.

YTONG AAC panel delivers more benefits than traditional masonry in terms of strength, acoustics, fire resistance and is installed faster, saving valuable construction time. It has a unique combination of thermal mass and insulation providing a more comfortable living environment.

Internal Wall Panel

YTONG AAC Panel is made from a single homogenous and solid material reinforced with steel mesh with thickness of 75, 100 and 150mm. It is an ideal substitution for conventional concrete block wall for internal partitioning. The YTONG panel is tailor-made to headroom in full height without any horizontal joints on the panel which in turn provides better rigidity and stability for the wall.

Slab / Roof Panel

YTONG Slab / Roof Panels are manufactured under the most stringent quality controls. The lightweight and high strength characteristics make YTONG Slab/Roof Panels ideally suitable for high-rise reinforced concrete and steel structure buildings.YTONG Slab / Roof Panels are dimensionally precise and extremely light weight for simple and fast installation. No formwork is required and YTONG panels are ready to be erected right after delivery which reduces quality control on-site.

External Wall Panel

YTONG External Wall Panels are designed especially for use as external walls, in-fill panels, facades or cladding. Thanks to YTONG’s high thermal insulating properties, considerable energy is saved reducing air-conditioning requirements. In addition, plain or patterned YTONG panels can provide an attractive external appearance for a building. In fact, this is one of the prime applications in Japan due to its attractiveness and trend towards simplicity. All the panels are factory-made under the most stringent quality controls, which cover all aspects of production and performance. The panels are generally designed to span vertically between two floors or horizontally between

two columns or shear wall.

Panels of other sizes are also available, please contact with YTONG.Panel length should always comply with the design loading. Thus, panels for different project should be customized accordingly.

As the worlds top-class brand AAC supplier, YTONG offers perfect solutions for sustainable, energy saving wall materials,YTONG not only provides AAC products, but also provides a range of mortars and plasters for a complete system. YTONG thin-bed adhesive mortars and plasters are made of inorganic silicate cementitious materials, inorganic mineral aggregate with high molecular polymers With its excellent performance in water retention, workability, freezing-thaw resistance and adhesive properties, these products are developed to improve the durability of exterior and interior wall applications and avoid cracking, moisture damage, mould, peeling, etc.

Thin Bed Adhesive YTONG Adhesive Mortar is specially designed for YTONG AAC blocks and AAC panels. It consists of cementitious materials coated with inorganic silicate and mixed with an inorganic mineral aggregate with high molecular weight polymer additives that promote water-resistance, that are thoroughly mixed into homogeneous powder products. By using YTONG Adhesive Mortar, the joint will be less than 3mm, this can greatly improve the complete wall strength while reducing the possibility of cracking.

PatchingYTONG Fix Mortar is specially designed for patching YTONG AAC blocks and panels. It consists of cementitious materials coated with inorganic silicate and mixed with an inorganic mineral aggregate with crack-resistant polymer additives and thoroughly mixed into a homogeneous powder. Just blend thoroughly with water and it is ready to use.

Internal CoatingYTONG provide individual solutions for interior coating according to the wall physics and construction type. YTONG Base Coat can be used to level the base of internal AAC wall while YTONG Top Coat is used as a finishing plaster. Thanks to the accurate product size, clients can also choose to use YTONG Skim Coat. With only 2mm coating thickness, the construction speed can be greatly increased.

External CoatingYTONG Interface Agent for external wall is a cement-based product with high-end molecular polymer additives that promote water-resistance. The AAC base that has been treated by YTONG Interface Agent has a strong binding force with other cement-based products.

Water Proofing for High Humidity Area YTONG Waterproof Interface Agent is a cement-based product with high-molecular polymer additives that promote waterproof characteristics. After maintenance and solidification, YTONG Waterproofing Interface Agent promotes water impermeability, freeze-thaw resistance, and is particularly resistant to temperature changes and other environmental instabilities. An AAC base treated by YTONG Waterproof Interface Agent enjoys strong bonds with other cement-based products. It dramatically improves the waterproofing performance of AAC walls.
