Dear Friends of the YWCA,

We are rapidly approaching our one-year anniversary for the Schleman

Natatorium re-opening, and not only do we provide swimming lessons,

Aqua Zumba®, aquacize and water walking, but we are now offering

lifeguard and scuba diving certification classes! Of course we continue to

have open swim time and the opportunity to host your own pool parties. In

this program guide you will find schedules for pool activities, Y-Dance

summer classes, summer volleyball skill development opportunities and

more. Our goal is to have at least 500 pool members, so please come and

support us and get swim fit! We have pool membership options for

everyone.

As always, this is your YWCA and we are here to offer not only fun

activities but also assistance, when needed, through the Domestic

Violence Intervention and Prevention Program and the Women’s Cancer

Program.

Our Dream Big Campaign, which began with the pool re-opening and gym

refurbishing, continues. Next up is the renovation of the Oppenheimer

House to become our new domestic violence shelter. Renovation will

begin by July 1st

and we are all in such eager anticipation! If you are

interested in donating to this much-needed project, we would greatly

appreciate it! You can use the donation form in this program guide or visit

us online at www.ywcalafayette.org/donate.

Great things are happening at your YWCA and what a

fabulous year 2015 has been thus far! Thanks so much!

See you soon at your YWCA!

Zumba® Step increases cardio and calorie burning, while adding moves that define and sculpt your core and legs. Zumba® Toning Perfect for those who want to party, but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles! The challenge of adding resistance by using Zumba® Toning Sticks (or light weights), helps you focus on specific muscle groups.
