Mumbai,Television actor Tarun
Khanna, who has joinedpopular mythological se-r ies "Devon Ka Dev...Mahadev" as Ravan, says he is still apprehen-sive about playing theepitome of evil from theepic "Ramayan".
"I still have apprehen-sions. It is like how youplay cricket - you canget out on every ball. Inthe same way as an ac-tor, you have to be onyour toes every time. Youhave to put in your 100percent every day. Evenif I am scared, I will beable to perform my nextshot to the best of myability," he told IANS.
As far as under-standing the character isconcerned, Tarun read
everything he could onRavan.
He has been par t ofthe TV industry for a de-cade now and has showslike "Bhabhi","Chandragupta Maurya",and "Dhak Dhakk InDubai" to his credit, therefore he doesn't getpressurised by the popu-larity of a show when hesteps in them.
"I have been in TV for10 years now. I haveworked in very popularserials. It does not puttoo much pressure onme. I am used to thesethings. It doesn't matterhow popular the serial is,I must feel that I cancontribute to it," said theactor.
Does it get monoto-nous to be on TV for 10
years?"Luckily or unluckily,
I have never been partof a show for too long forit to get monotonous...hats off to those peoplewho do i t ( the samething) day in and dayout," he said.
Talking about futureplans, the actor said that"Mahadev" is taking upall his time.
" 'Mahadev' is sevendays a week and Ravanis a pivotal character fora while now. I have toldmy wife that I am say-ing goodbye to you for awhile. That is the kind ofcommitment a TV actorhas to give to a producer. If I was doing a smallerrole, then I would havethought of taking on an-other show," he said.
