Zachman Framework in multiple levelsWritten Date : May 3, 2011

Zachman Framework provides structured and disciplined way of viewing an enterprise. You can drilldown a cell in Zachman Framework to a deeper level to define more details.

1. Start Visual Paradigm.

2. Create a new project. You can create a project by selecting Project > New from the toolbar.

3. Create a New Diagram. Select Diagram > New from the toolbar.

4. In the New Diagram window, enter zachman framework in the search field, click Next.

5. Then, fill in the Diagram Name and Description (if any). Click OK to confirm diagram creation.

6. There are 36 cells in Zachman Framework. Select the one that intersect How (column)and Business Concepts (row).

7. Let's drill down to a lower level. Click on the arrow button.

8. In the Sub-Level window, select New Zachman Framework. Click OK.

9. Check the caption of Zachman Framework. You are now opening the sub-level of ZachmanFramework1.

10. To navigate back to the parent level, click on the quick link on top of Zachman Framework.

11. Select any other cell in Zachman Framework. You can see that the cell with sub-level is filled.

12. Select the edited cell again. Now, you can open the sub-level by clicking on the arrow button.
