    Problem:

    Ener gy costs in India ar e cons tant ly r ising and

    power gr ids ar e already pushed to the limitsAt t he sam e time, energy consum ption of ICT

    facil it ies / data centers is increasing at a

    prodigious rat e due to geomet ric r ise in

    computing. Cooling energy costs in most cases

    exceed 6 0 % of total energy used.

    Some of the old data cent r es still use m ixed

    flow ventilation and have very poor equipm ent

    layouts.

    M any a tim e, adhoc CRAC additions and

    positioning is resor ted to address the hot spot

    pr oblems . Litt le or No att ention is paid to

    energy efficiency.

    Although, globally, Hot aisle/ Cold aisle concept

    is now considered one of the essential low

    hanging fruit type of techn ique to contr ol

    energy wastage but this practice is still not very

    will recognised in India

    As Dat a cent er cooling plays a significant r ole

    in planning, owning and operat ing data center ,m any data centers have started paying

    attention to energy use at their facilities.

    Now building codes will also put pres sur e on

    thes e facilities to reduc e the ener gy use by

    adopting more energy efficient technology.

    Simple Solution :

    Heat Load:

    As th e conventional refr igeration bas ed, off the

    shelf equipm ent is not s uitable for t his

    application h ence t he CRACs (r ead sensiblecooling machines) were introduced for

    removing sensible heat from these buildings.

    CRACSs are designed to pr imar ily r em ove

    sensible heat loads and hence will not

    dehum idify the air.

    In pr actice it is extr em ely difficult, energy

    intensive and expensive solution.

    Toro c ooling System s is intr oducing LOpex

    ZdoT air con ditioner, the advanced Indirec tAdiabatic Cooling system based on sensible

    cooling t echnology.

    LOpex ZdoT air conditioners meet new

    ASHRAE guide lines for sensible cooling of data
