Description of Zehnder External Wall GrilleZehnder external wall grilles are suitable for exterior installations on vertical walls and can also be installed horizontally on the underside of soffits or porch ceilings.
The housing and fins are made of stainless steel. A double rubber gasket is integrated around the diameter of the duct connection to provide a seal with the inside diameter of the attached duct.
A vermin grille is included, which can be accessed for maintenance by loosening the cover screws and lifting the hinged cover. To allow for this hinged access, the grille should either be mounted on a flat wall finish or on a mounting block that projects slightly beyond the siding material. Siding material should not be butted up against the grille cover.
Zehnder External Wall Grilles are designed specifically for use with Zehnder ComfoPipe insulated ducts of corresponding nominal diameters.
Additionally, the following grille sizes are reasonably suited for imperial size diameters of commercially available metal duct as indicated:
• 125mm grille can be fitted to 5" diameter metal duct• 150mm grille can be fitted to 6" diameter metal duct• 200mm grille can be fitted to 8" diameter metal duct
