INTRODUCTION
At the heart of any mission-crical communicaons system is
the dispatch console. The console system needs to be:
Reliable- With proven resilience to failure and built inredundancy.
Ecient When lives are on the line, you want resourcesdispatched with minimal delay.
Highly Interoperable Diversity of interfacing meansall resources are accessible no maer what technologycommunicaons systems are being used.
Flexible All dispatch operaons are dierent. Itsdesirable to have a common plaorm yes accommode thediering needs of each agency.
Acom EVO Console SystemSpec Sheet
Acom EVO represents the next generaon in dispatch
consoles. The Acom EVO Console System oers the reliabifeature capabilies, intuive operaon, and exible
conguraon for which Acom is known.
Zetron understands that the changing world of dispatch
means that more and more dispatching is distributed acro
customer sites and somemes is even mobile. Acom EVO
oers the best of both worlds allowing the Acom EVO
dispatch soware to be connected in either a Standard o
Feature mode console setup.
The Standard mode console requires only an IP connecte
laptop and a headset. Ideal for mobile command or for
temporary dispatch operaons, this mode sll ulizes all t
available features of the Acom EVO console with reducedconsole peripheral requirements.
For more tradional dispatching, or a more full-featured
console, Feature mode provides the full suite of audio
roung capabilies and console audio peripherals using a
USB-connected Media Dock.
Acom EVOs Media Dock provides a dual-headset operao
and up to four speaker connecons using Zetrons purpose
built dispatching speakers. The Media Dock also includes lo
digital I/O capability, desk microphone, instant recall recor
foot switch, local telephone, and auxiliary audio interfacin
Media Dock provides full-featured dispatching capability.

SYSTEM BENEFITS
Scalable plaorm
Modular architecture allows your system to grow along with
the needs of your communicaons facility, regardless of the
size of the operaon.
Bandwidth Eciency
Acom EVOs bandwidth requirements are considerably lower
than most other IP console systems by ulizing a redundant
media controller to control all selecons, patching andmonitoring. This provides a combined audio stream to the
console rather than separate streams for each intended radio/
telephony connecon. This makes a signicant dierence
when using dispatch consoles at many dierent locaons.
Fault-tolerant, robust, reliable operaons
N+1 System architecture allows for failover operaon, even
in the most complex IP network environments. The system is
designed to keep operang even if a fault condion occurs.
Acom EVOs reliability reduces maintenance costs and
unscheduled repairs.
Highly Interoperable
Acom EVO supports communicaons across a wide spectrum
of radio and telephone equipment and other communicaons
devices, including Project 25 (TIA CSSI, DFSI, and AFSI),
OpenSky, iDEN, TETRA, NEXEDGE, SMARTNET,
SmartZone, and LTR as well as numerous legacy systems.
Allowing telephone and radio communicaons to run on one
plaorm eliminates the need for mulple systems.
Encrypon capable
Acom EVO supports DES and AES encrypon on its P25
interfaces, including FIPS 140-2 via an add-on encrypon
module.
Key management is an important part of any encrypon
capable system and Acom EVO supports the use of a Key F
Device or connecon to a Key Management Facility used f
OTAR.
Ecient, intuive, feature richThe Acom EVO dispatch soware can be congured to
accommodate a range of common business pracces and
operaons. System resources can be consolidated into a
single GUI and customized to suit a parcular user or role.
This improves producvity and reduces training costs.
Simple one-touch operaon can be used to contact
individuals or groups making it easy to learn and operate.
Acom EVOs Call Management feature improves the ease
and eciency with which dispatchers can view and manag
calls. Call lists can be set up to display acvity that pertains
to a specic dispatcher, call type (both radio and telephon
call priority, or calls to or from specic numbers. Calls can
also be highlighted to ensure instant recognion. In addio
dispatchers can make quick call backs directly from the cal
list.
Acom EVO oers a feature-rich telephony communicaon
package. This includes funconality that integrates with
standard analog subscriber and exchange ports, as well as
ETSI ISDN and E1 QSig. It also includes:
Automac Call Distribuon
Call Event Applicaons
Recorded Voice Announcement
Interacve Voice Response

ACOM EVO MANAGER CONFIGURATIONAPPLICATION
Easy Console Setup
Console-audio roung is easy to set up in Acom EVO. The
Acom EVO manager conguraon tool is used to build a
roung matrix for a posion. Any input audio source can be
congured to appear at any output source.
The Acom EVO manager also oers a built in IP diagnoscs
tool to ensure the connected IP network is running as
expected.
Prole based login
Acom EVOs log-on capabilies range from basic user screen
startup to full, authencated log-on control.
Conguraons can be assigned to operators automacally,
based on their log-on prole, or they can be modied on-
the-y, as circumstances warrant and permissions allow.
In addion, Supervisors can use network management
resources to create, acvate and publish conguraons.Any number of screen conguraons can be created and
assigned to any console posion. This includes conguraons
to reect available resources, dispatch funcons, duty shis
and schedules, supervisory and maintenance roles, and
training exercise simulaons.
CAD Interfacing
The system oers a standardized interface to integrate 3rd
party CAD systems. This capability allows calls to be iniated
and patched or conferenced directly from the CAD system.
Acom EVO will also pass call event informaon to the CAD
including unit IDs for incoming transmissions
Fault and Management Reporng
Acom EVOs integrated alarm and reporng management
tools can be congured to either link to external contacts or
provide a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
trap. This greatly simplies system error diagnosis and system
maintenance.
Acom EVO also incorporates a Network Management
capability allowing a variety of reports can be generated
quickly and easily. This helps managers monitor system and
dispatcher performance and also helps detect and diagnose
potenal issues.
