Management are also available.– 7 magazines / periodicals in Hindi & 8 in English are subscribed.
• Future Development Plan– Started making video of lecture session of all eminent faculties.– Uploading all training videos to COMNET along with existing training
materials.

Development Plan for Main Building
• Construction of boundary wall similar to OFC, SAF & FGK (Project approved by OFB in ADP 2012-13, under Capital Civil Work
through OFC. Being included in ADP 2014-15)
• Renovation of Main Gate and construction of Security Room. (Project approved by OFB in ADP 2012-13, under Capital Civil Work
through OFC. Being included in ADP 2014-15)
• Reconstruction of drainage and beautification of the front and right side of OFILKN.
(New work being included in ADP 2014-15.)

• Accommodation• For more than 100 participants.
• Twin sharing basis : 32 persons• Dormitory type : 80 persons
• All the rooms have adequate furniture like wardrobes, writing tables, chairs & dressing tables
• Mess Hall• Seating capacity: 90 persons• 42" LCD TV• Deep Freezer• Tea vending machine
• Recreation Room• Equipped with 50 chairs, sofa, LCD TV, DVD player, 5.1 speaker system.

• Other Common Facilities • Geysers, Washing machines in both wings, DTH/Cable TV
network, Broadband Internet Connection on two dedicated PCs, RO systems, water coolers, indoor game rooms for TT and carom & Multi Station Gym.
• Utility kit (having bathing & washing soap, hair oil, tooth paste, shampoo, comb etc.) to each participant.
• Future Development Plan• Air conditioning of Hostel rooms, Mess hall & Recreation room -
Proposal forwarded to OFB vide letter No. OFILKN/MODREPORT/2013-14 dated 19.06.2013.
• Energy Conservation – Solar Water Heater installed in mess. Further action shall be initiated for Solar Powered Geysers and street lights in hostel complex in phased manner.

Faculty Development Programme
• Direct Training Skills (DTS) courses planned in October 2014 & February 2015 respectively.
• Outstation trainings (at reputed institutes) for OFILKN faculties in their core competency areas have been identified. Apart from sister OFILs, institute like ADRDE/Agra, ISTM/Delhi, CLRI/Chennai are being approached for seat allotment etc.
Road map for improvement
• Improvement in customer perception • OFILKN has proposed to subscribe to ISO 9001:2008 QMS
certification. OFB approval received. OTE to be opened on 15.10.14.• Need based Training Programme at factories• EnMS programme at OFM, Sewing machine maintenance at OEFC,
Stress Management Workshop at OEFC already conducted successfully. Further courses at OPF (Drawing & Quality) and OEFC (ISO :17025) shall be conducted in this month.
• Course on CNC programming scheduled at OFC from 13.10.14 to 17.10.14
• Training programme on ISO 9001, 14001 &18001, MS-Word & MS-Excel, TPM, SPC & SQC, CAD, Stress Management, Material Management, Financial Management in factories may be conducted at any point of time without external faculty support.
• Half-yearly MDO conference proposed to review training requirement• Proposal for conducting biannual MDO conference at OFIL,
Kanpur to review & monitor the training needs of various factories has been forwarded to OFB for approval.

• Synergy workshops between Factory and LAO• This programme will be a regular feature of course curriculum. Efforts
will be made to conduct this programme biannually.
• Revenue generation through Civil Trade Courses • A Complete Hands-on Training on Computer (for office work – 30 hrs) • CAD programme for one month (40 hrs)
