My mom, Elizabeth A. Szabo, focused her energy on helping people discover, celebrate, and share their Hungarian heritage by starting Magyar Marketing in 1988. Her early years go back to Buckeye Road in Cleveland OH and she raised her family in Youngstown OH so she saw Hungarian communities change firsthand. As my brothers and I were choosing our spouses, it was clear that the 100% Hungarian bloodline was

going to end with our generation. As time went on, it became increasingly important for her to know that we understood and valued Hungarian traditions and could pass them along within our own families. Infusing Hungarian heritage into the next generation can be a challenge but it is achievable and worth every effort and that is the reason we continue Magyar Marketing today. I wonder if our great grandparents ever imagined that their great-great grandchildren would be so excited about being Hungarian!

The storks that settle all around Hungary in the spring are always a delight to see! This one
