1. Opening of the sittingThe sitting opened at 9.00.

2. Announcement by the PresidentThe President announced that, on a recommendation by the Advisory Committee on the Conduct ofMembers, he had decided to impose a penalty, dated 1 July 2020, on Jan Zahradil for failure to respectthe reporting obligations set out in Article 3(3) and Article 4(2) of the Code of Conduct, which mighthave resulted in a conflict of interests. The penalty consisted of a reprimand.

The Member concerned had been informed of the decision on 7 July 2020.

In accordance with Rule 177, Jan Zahradil would be able to lodge an internal appeal with the Bureauwithin two weeks of notification of the penalty.
