LIBRARY LECTURE: Ever wonder about the 1921 trial of the man who assassinated Father James Coyle and why he was found not guilty? You’ll learn these details and more from a talk John Wright, Jr. will give on Wednesday, April 5 th . It will be held at the Birmingham Public Library’s Linn Henley building in the Arrington auditorium at noon. Question and answer period will follow. You’re welcome to bring your lunch. Free beverages are provided. The talk is a part of a series of monthly lectures celebrating the Library Archives’ 30 th Anniversary. SERRA CLUB OF BIRMINGHAM April Activities The Lunch meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 4, at Our Lady of Sorrows, beginning with an 11:00 a.m. Mass (we now share the Mass with the VIP group that meets on the 1 st Tuesday), followed by the Serra meeting in the OLS Life Center, with fellowship, a meal and meditation. On Tuesday, April 11, from 6:30 p. m. to 7:30 p.m., SERRANS will meet as a group, in the Perpetual Adoration Chapel at OLS, to pray for Vocations. The Dinner Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 18, at Our Lady of Sorrows, beginning with a 6:00 p.m. Mass, followed by fellowship, a meal and a program. The Guest Speaker will be Father Richard Donohoe, Pastor at the Cathedral of St. Paul, Birmingham. Father Donohoe’s topic will be “The DaVinci Code”. Guests are welcome to attend any of these activities. The SERRA Club members are Catholics Lay Ministers, Fostering and Promoting Vocations Through Prayer, Awareness, Affirmation and Support. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 10567 is now accepting applications for the Louis N. Muro Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college or a junior college and who are active members of St. Patrick. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and must provide proof of completion of at least 25 service hours performed during junior and senior high school years. Applicants must also be willing to attend an interview session with designated members of Council 10567. You may pick up an application at the Church office or you can request one online by e-mailing Louis J. Muro at [email protected]. Deadline for application submissions is April 15. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 10567 will hold its April meeting on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus room. All Knights are urged to attend. Food will be served at 6:45 and the meeting will begin promptly at 7.

ST. ELIAS LEBANESE FOOD AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL will be held April 21st and 22nd. Enjoy Lebanese Food, a silent auction, church tour and visit the Heritage Room. The festival provides an opportunity for the public to experience the atmosphere of this Lebanese Maronite Catholic Church (the only one in Alabama). Please make plans to attend and support this festival.
