About GFIS Application Operations

ABB Group Function Application Operations offer professional operational services for group and global applications. Examples of operational services include:

Functional support provided by service desk

Maintenance and development Management by Applications Operations

Operations Management utilizing shared infrastructure, standardized tools and processes

Objective is to make application ownership, management and operations easy for the businesses

Operational processes and procedures are based on de-facto standards as Information Technology Infrastructure library (ITIL, British standard institute) and Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF)

Services are offered on demand and relevant services for each application are agreed upon between application owner/process owner and Application Operations, confirmed via SLA (Service Level Agreement) or OLA (Operations Level Agreement)
