Adverbs of Frequency

เป็นนามท่ีสามารถแยกนับจำานวนหนึ่ง สอง สาม... ได้ ไมว่า่จะมหีรอืไมม่ีรูปรา่งก็ได้

มรูีปรา่ง ( สามารถสมัผัสได้ ) เชน่ dog, chair , tree, school, country, student ไมม่รูีปรา่ง ( ไมส่ามารถสมัผัสได้ ) เชน่ day , month, year, weekend, journey

1.Countable Nouns ( นามนับ ได้ )

มทัีง้รูปเอกพจน์และพหพูจน์เอกพจน์: เชน่ dog, country, day, yearพหพูจน์: เชน่ dogs, countries, days, years

การใช้ นามนับได้เอกพจน์ ต้องนำาหน้าด้วย determiners อยา่งใด อยา่งหนึ่ง เชน่

I want an orange. ( ไมใ่ช่ I want orange.) Where is the bottle? ( ไมใ่ช่ Where is bottle?) Do you want this book?

การใชน้ามนับได้พหพูจน์อาจจะนำาหน้าด้วย articles หรอืไมก็่ได้ เชน่

I like to feed the birds. ( เฉพาะเจาะจง ต้องมี articles )Cats are interesting pets. ( ไมเ่ฉพาะเจาะจง ไมต้่องมี

article )I want those books on the table. ( those เป็น determiners

)

เป็นนามที่นับไมไ่ด้ เนื่องจากภาษาอังกฤษมองสิง่นัน้ในภาพ รวมและคิดวา่ไมส่ามารถจะแยกเป็นสว่นได้ รวมทัง้ความคิด การก

ระทำาต่างๆท่ีเป็นรูปธรรม ( abstract nouns ) ด้วย เชน่Concrete: เชน่ water, milk, butter, furniture, luggage, iron, equipment, clothing, garbage, junk

Abstract : เชน่ anger, courage, happiness, knowledge

2.Uncountable Nouns ( นามนับไม่ ได้ )

ชื่อภาษา: เชน่ English, German, Spain

กีฬาต่างๆ : เชน่ hockey, football, tennis

ชื่อวชิาต่างๆ: เชน่ sociology, medicine, anthropology

กิจกรรมต่างๆ: เชน่ swimming, eating

อ่ืนๆ : เชน่ news, money, work, homework, education, weather, information, traffic, breakfast

มรีูปเอกพจน์ และเมื่อกล่าวถึงเป็นการทัว่ๆไป หรอื ไมไ่ด้ กล่าวถึงมาก่อน ไมต้่องนำาด้วย articles เชน่

I have bread and butter for breakfast every morning. ( ฉันกินขนมปังและเนยเป็นอาหารเชา้ทกุวนั )We cannot live without air and water.

( เราไมส่ามารถมชีวีติอยูไ่ด้โดยปราศจากอากาศและนำ้า )

  Uncountable nouns ท่ีทำาหน้าท่ีประธานของประโยค จะต้องใช้ verb ด้วย หลักการเดียวกับคำานามเอกพจน์ เชน่

Butter is fattening. ( เนยทำาใหอ้้วน )

ปกติจะมรีูปเป็นเอกพจน์ แต่ทำาใหเ้ป็นพหพูจน์ได้โดยบอกจำานวนตามภาชนะท่ี บรรจุ กลุ่ม นำ้าหนัก และลักษณะนาม เชน่two cups of water, three pieces of information,

two lumps of sugar

เนื่องจาก glasses เป็นพหพูจน์

เชน่I want an orange. ( ไมใ่ช่ I want orange.) Where is the bottle? ( ไมใ่ช่ Where is bottle?) Do you want this book?I want those books up there.

คำานามท่ีเป็นได้ทัง้ Countable และ Uncountable คำานามบางคำาสามารถ เป็นได้ทัง้นามนับได้และนามนับไมไ่ด้ แล้วแต่การใช้ เชน่

afternoon ( ตอนบา่ย ) people ( ประชาชน ) fish ( ปลา )

age ( อายุ ) film ( ภาพยนต์ ) religion ( ศาสนา )

fruit ( ผลไม้ ) food ( อาหาร ) art ( ศิลปะ )

ตัวอยา่ง เชน่Beer is a bitter drink. เบยีรเ์ป็นเครื่องดื่มที่มรีสขม ( Uncountable noun )

I think I ordered two beers. ฉันคิดวา่ฉันสัง่เบยีรไ์ปสองแก้วนะ( Countable noun )

คำานาม uncountable nouns ท่ีไมนิ่ยมใชเ้ป็น countable ( ทำาใหเ้ป็น plural ) เชน่

information ( ขอ้มูล ขา่วสาร ) knowledge ( ความรู ้ )money ( เงิน ) music ( ดนตรี )

ท้ัง some และ any มคีวามหมายวา่ "บา้ง" แต่ใชแ้ตกต่างกัน ดังน้ี

1. some ใชกั้บประโยคบอกเล่า ใชไ้ด้ทั้งกับนามนับได้และนามนับไมไ่ด้เชน่

I have some pens. (ฉันพอจะมปีากกาบา้ง)John wants some water. (John ต้องการนำ้าบา้ง)There are some books on the table. (มปีากกาอยูบ่นโต๊ะบา้ง)There is some sugar in the bowl. (มนีำ้าตาลทรายอยูใ่นชาม

2.2 ประโยคคำาถาม ใชไ้ด้ทัง้กับนามนับได้และนามนับไมไ่ด้ แต่ความหมายจะเปล่ียนเป็น"_______ บา้งไหม" เชน่Do you have any pens? (คณุมปีากกาบา้งไหม)Does John want any water? (John ต้องการนำ้าบา้งไหม)Are there any books in the schoolbag? (มหีนังสอือยูใ่นกระเป๋าเรยีนบา้งไหม) Is there any coffee in the cup? (มกีาแฟอยูใ่นถ้วยบา้งไหม)

ตำาแหน่งในการวาง Adverbs of Frequency1.หากประโยคม ีVerb to be เราจะต้องใส ่Adverbs of Frequency ไปหลัง Verb นัน้ๆ

2.หากประโยคมกีารใช ้Main Verb จะต้องใส ่Adverbs of Frequency ไปหน้า Verb นัน้ๆ

Frequency ไปขา้งหลัง Auxiliary Verb นัน้ๆAuxiliary

4. หากเป็นประโยคคำาถาม ใหเ้รานำา Adverb of frequency มาวางไวห้น้า Main Verb

5.  เราสามารถวาง Adverbs of Frequency   บางตัว ไวห้น้าประโยคได้ เชน่ Sometimes we sleep in a classroom.
