Challenges of integration / optimisation
• the different orientations and philosophies of the stakeholders
• the complexity and diversity of the overall system and
• the dynamism of the current operation in conjunction with
- the integration of multi-phased planning intervals - different time horizons
• a real-time operation evaluation is quite difficult for each operation centre especially because of the non-existence of common evaluation metrics
• an insufficient / non-existent synchronisation of planning intervals and cycle
• lots of “ad hoc planning” operation centres at the airport site
