Protect your Environment:

Many resources are nonrenewable, so, we should protect them.

Conservation is saving resources by using them wisely.

Reduce Reduce: To use less of a

resource.

Examples: 1) Use less water by taking

Reuse Reuse: To use a resource again and again. Benefits of reusing: a) helps reduce the amount of resources

that would be needed to make new things.

b) saves people money.

Examples: 1) Wear clothes that no longer fit my older

Recycle Recycle: To reuse a resource by

breaking it down and using it to make a new product.

Paper, glass, aluminum from cans, and some plastics can be recycled.

Examples of recycled materials: 1) Paper that is recycled can be

used to make cards, paper towels, and newspaper.
