History of drainage system
• The first significant steps to make drainage system near Latorica, Bodrog were started after year 1859 and near Ondava were started already in 1827.
• The first dikes around river Ondava were bulit from 1846 to 1854.
• Serious repairing, increasing and stabilization of dikes around rivers Bodrog and Latorica were started in 1888 and finished in 1910.
• The first canal net in Medzibodrožie were started built from 1882 and finished 1903 – Boľský, Horešský, Naďretsky, Svätušský, Berecki, Radský, Pribenický a Dobranský channel.
