Day 1: Wednesday, October 2 • Departure

Depart USA for Rome, Italy via overnight flights.

Day 2: Thursday, October 3 • Arrival Rome | Assisi

Arrive in Rome, Italy airport. Meet your Italian tour manager and travel to Assisi via luxury motorcoach. Celebrate Mass and visit St. Mary of the Angels Basilica to see the famous Portziuncula (Subject to confirmation depending on flight schedule). Welcome dinner tonight and overnight in Assisi.

Day 3: Friday, October 4 • Assisi

Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. Then, enjoy a walking city tour of Assisi to see the art, architecture and serenity of this Umbrian town. Visit the Church of St. Clare to see her tomb and the San Damiano Cross. Tour San Rufino Church where St. Francis and St. Clare were both baptized.

The afternoon and evening will be at leisure. Overnight in Assisi.

Day 4: Saturday, October 5 • Assisi | Florence

Depart Assisi and travel to Florence. Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour of Florence including the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s world-famous statue of David. Also visit the Dominican Church and museum of San Marco. Free time this afternoon to shop for gold jewelry or leather on the Ponte Vecchio Bridge! Celebrate Mass this evening at San Lorenzo before a group dinner. Overnight in Florence.

Day 5: Sunday, October 6 • Florence

Begin the day with a Mass at the Duomo – Saint Mary of the Little Flowers. After Mass take a guided walking tour of Florence stopping at the Baptistry Doors, Signoria Square (the “open-air-museum”) and Santa Croce with the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, and Rossini. Free time this afternoon

and evening - you may want to go to the world famous Uffizzi Art Gallery or continue to explore on your own. Overnight in Florence.

Day 6: Monday, October 7 • Florence | ORVIETO | Rome

Say farewell to Florence with a panoramic view from Pizzale Michelangelo. Then, drive to Orvieto and celebrate Mass at the Duomo of Orvieto. After Mass take a guided tour to see the church, learn about the Eucharistic Miracle of Corpus Christi, and see the famous cycle of frescoes by Signorelli. Lunch on own and free time to enjoy Orvieto, with its famous shops. Upon arrival in Rome, check-in into the hotel for the duration of the pilgrimage.

Dinner in Rome tonight at a local restaurant. Overnight in Rome.

Day 7: Tuesday, October 8 • Christian Rome Tour | Walking Tour

Celebrate Mass at St Mary Major. After Mass, take a Christian Rome Tour, including St. Mary Major and John in Lateran, which is the Cathedral of Rome. Then see the Holy Steps climbed by Christ in Jerusalem, and the Basilica of the Holy Cross where some of Christianity’s most important relics are housed, including a piece of the True Cross, thorn and nails. Enjoy an evening walking tour to see the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona.

Evening at leisure and dinner on own. Overnight Rome.

Day 8: Wednesday, October 9 • Papal Audience | St. Paul Outside the Walls

Depart early to attend the weekly Papal Audience (pending the Holy Father’s schedule). In the afternoon, celebrate Mass at St. Paul Outside the Walls (pending confirmation) followed by a tour of this major basilica. Enjoy an evening of leisure for shopping, exploration or a leisurely meal.

Overnight Rome.

Day 9: Thursday, October 10 • Vatican Museum | Sistine Chapel

Start the day by celebrating Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica. Following Mass, enjoy a guided tour of the Vatican, including the Vatican Museum, and the Sistine Chapel, where you will view some of the most inspiring works of art, including Michelangelo’s magnificent fresco of the Last Judgement.

Afternoon at leisure before a Farewell Dinner and final overnight in Rome.

Day 10: Friday, October 11 • Depart for the USA

This morning check-out of the hotel and depart for the Rome Airport for your return flights flight to the USA.
