Day 1: Tuesday, October 6 • Depart for Poland

Group airport transfer from Plymouth, MI to Detroit Metro Airport for your overnight flights to Poland.

Day 2: Wednesday, October 7 • Arrive in Warsaw | Museum of Fr. Popieluszko | Church St. Kostka

Upon arrival in Warsaw, Poland meet your local Polish tour manager. Transfer to the Museum of Fr. Jerzy Popieluszko, chaplain and martyr of the Solidarity Movement, for a visit. Depart for the Church of St. Stanislaw Kostka and the tomb of Fr. Jerzy Popieluszko. Check into your hotel before a festive Welcome

Dinner in the Old City. Overnight in Warsaw. (Today's schedule dependent on flight arrival time.)

Day 3: Thursday, October 8 • Warsaw City Tour

After, breakfast at the hotel enjoy a sightseeing tour of the most important sights of Poland - raised from the ashes of World War II. Begin at St. John’s Cathedral where Stefan Cardinal Wyszynski, is buried. Continue to the Royal Castle Square to see the magnificent royal residence and Sigmund Column. Tour the Jewish Quarter and Warsaw Uprising Monument and Museum, one of the most modern and impressive museums in Poland. See the beautiful Lazienki

Park and Palace, former summer residence of the Polish kings and location of the Chopin monument. Enjoy dinner together and overnight in Warsaw.

Day 4: Friday, October 9 • Warsaw | Czestochowa | Krakow

This morning depart for Czestochowa with a stop en route at Niepokalanow “Immaculata”, as founded by St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe, the Martyr of Auschwitz. Arrive in Czestochowa, the center of Poland’s religious life and home of the famous icon of the Black Madonna. Enjoy a brief tour of the Shrine before

celebrating Mass at one of the chapels. Continue on to Krakow for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Saturday, October 10 • Krakow City Tour | Optional Divine Mercy Tour

After breakfast at the hotel take a guided tour to Wawel Hill and the Cathedral that houses the tombs of St. Stanislaw and St. Hedwig and is the final resting place of Polish kings, poets, and national heroes. Attend the opening of the Witt Stwosz altar at the Mariacki Church (St. Mary’s church). Meet at the market square in front of Mariacki Church just when the call of Hejnal is sounded amid all the crowds. Enjoy lunch on your own in the Square followed by a traditional Polish liqueurs tasting. Enjoy the remainder of your afternoon at leisure or depart on an optional tour to the tomb of St. Faustina Kowalska. Visit the convent and the Basilica of the Divine Mercy which was consecrated by St. John Paul II during his last trip to Poland. Take time to see “Have No Fear,” the newly

opened center dedicated to St. John Paul II at the White Sands. Dinner on your own and overnight in Krakow.

Day 6: Sunday, October 11 • Auschwitz | Wadowice

This morning visit Auschwitz, the largest World War II concentration camp in Europe. Take a guided tour of the camp including the Shrine of Maximilian Kolbe. Continue to Wadowice, the birthplace and hometown of John Paul II. Enjoy lunch on own and be sure to taste the famous dessert ‘papieskie kremowki’ (Pope’s cream cakes) which St. John Paul II adored. Tour the house of St. John Paul II, now a museum. Celebrate Mass in the Basilica of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (subject to confirmation) and see the baptismal font where John Paul II was baptized. Dinner on your own and overnight in Krakow.

Day 7: Monday, October 12 • Krakow | Zakopane

Depart this morning for the scenic hills of Zakopane. St. John Paul II spent a lot of his time in these mountains as a hiker, skier, traveler, priest with youth trips, and returned to it several times as a Pope. En route, stop to admire the famous salt mine of Wieliczka, known for its unique underground constructions made of salt, including Biblical icons. Continue to Zakopane for a city tour featuring “mountaineer” architecture and a visit to Atma Villa. Enjoy a gondola ride to

Mt. Gubalowka (subject to confirmation) for a bird’s eye view over the city and hillsides of Zakopane. Dinner and overnight in Zakopane.

Day 8: Tuesday, October 13 • Zakopane | Prague

Before departing for Prague, visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, which was built by mountaineers in gratitude for the Blessed Mother saving the life of St. John Paul II from the assassination attempt. Continue to Prague, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Upon arrival check into your hotel and enjoy

the remainder of the day on your own. Overnight in Prague.

Day 9: Wednesday, October 14 • Prague City Tour | River Cruise

Begin the day with a walk along Hradcany Quarter to the Royal Castle visiting the St. Vitus Cathedral, interiors of the Royal castle, and St George’s Basilica. Walk down the Mala Strana passing by St. Nicholas Church to Our Lady Victorious Church, famous for the statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. Celebrate Mass at the Our Lady Victorious Church (subject to confirmation) before lunch on your own. This afternoon, cross the Charles Bridge to the Old Town seeing the Astronomical Clock. Enjoy time at leisure in the Old Town. Enjoy your last night with a relaxing dinner cruise on the Vltava River. Overnight in Prague.

Day 10: Thursday, October 15 • Return to USA

This morning depart on return flights to the USA. Upon arrival at Detroit Metropolitan Airport, return group transfer to Plymouth, MI.
