instructed by the Postal Directorate vide their letter No. 4-3/2017 Pension dated 07.06.2017, a

copy of which has been endorsed by west Bengal Circle office vide their letter No. A&P/A/X-

515/Rlg'/Pension/F.Pension/ih CPCdated] 'U16.2017 .

You will appreciate that for smooth and speedy pension revision, following four entities

have to work In close quarters for per-2016 pension revision:

1. Pensioners (for information related to their present status)

2. Disbursing units or the DDOs (for Information related to various disbursements)

3. Pension sanctioning authority or HOO (for sanctioning the revised pension)

4. Pension Authorizing authority or % GM (PAF) (for authorizing revised pension)

In this context I would like to apprise you that % GM (PAF) has prepared two formats

(copy 01 both annexures enclosed) for collection of Information from above three sources viz.,

• Annexure A for information related 10 pensioners and DDC>(1 and 2 above) and,

• Annexure B a slightly modified model calculation sheet prescribed by Directorate for

Pension sanctioning authority (3 above)

As Annexure A requires wider reach to all the pensioners residing in West Bengal,

Sikklm and Andaman and Nicobar, an advertisement with said Ann A has been published in

many newspapers viz., The Times of India, The Telegraph, Bortaman, Ei Samay, Prabhat

Khabar, Sikkim Express and Andaman Express. Further, Annexure A is also being circulated to'.

I, therefore, make a humble request to you to kindly arrange to

i. Circulate the Annexure A to all the ODDs (2 above) with instruction to:

• Collect filled-up Annexure A from the pensioners receiving pension from their

Head post office/SPO under them.

• fill up DOD's portion of Annexure A (Last two fields) and

• Submit such completely tilled up Annexure A to the respective pension

sanctioning authority/HOD.

ll, Circulate Annexure B to all the pension sanctioning authority along with annexure A

with instructions to submit filled up Annexure B along with Annexure A (latter will be

received from ODDs concerned) to % GM (PAF)along with pension case.

Further I would like to request you to please cause early submission of those

revision caseswhere date of retirement is on or after 01.04.2012 as these casesare already

available in PAISsoftware and therefore Annexure A in such cases is not mandatory.

For effective and timely revision of pension in these pre 2016 cases, your kind

co-operation is highly solicited.
