REFRAMING ENTREPRENEURSHIPAs Wendy Kopp, Founder, Teach for America has stated:

"Children in urban and rural areas face many extra challenges -- they aren't surrounded by lots of evidence of the possibility of success in school and in life, and the face all the extra challenges of poverty. If you really think about it, the only way to be a successful teacher in this context is to be entrepreneurial -- to envision a reality many think is impossible, to pursue it with passion and relentlessness, to be extraordinarily successful.“ [Kauffman Thoughtbook, 2011]

Merely equipping an individual with a laptop with a WiFi network and saying "go figure" is not going to pave the cow paths towards entrepreneurship in underserved communities.

Entrepreneurship education in developmentally disabled (underserved) communities is at risk. Both the magnitude and priority of this risk are high which impacts job creation. Without a focused risk response, the vision of “Becoming Citizens” will remain a rhetoric in underserved communities.

Seattle proudly welcomes people to the city as the "Portal to the Pacific" -- as one drives on I-90 West.

S@SFO Sustainability Art and Therapy (@) SFO (Solution-Focused Outcomes) – airport code for San Francisco,

carefully chosen to send home the message that, if we choose, we can bring “Silicon Valley” innovation to any zipcode to design solutions

Operationally speaking, every airport has a code, so we can localize the S@SFO mindset in any geography (think global; act local)

Theatre of Living in the Twitter Zone (TLTZ) represents a real-estate where conversations have a bias for distraction and place developmentally disabled individuals at a disadvantage from a perception and value assessment standpoint. (“world of places” or red ocean)

Theatre of Living in the non-Twitter Zone (TLnTZ) represents a real-estate where conversations have a non-negotiable bias for attention and meaning-making in an atmosphere of uncompromising integrity. (“world of purpose” or blue ocean)

S@SFO is a "blue ocean" real-estate for individuals and groups that is a Theatre of Living in the non-Twitter Zone (TLnTZ), an essential blueprint for entrepreneurship education and business building in a recession.

IGNITING ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES

S@SFO is the growth engine for creating and managing a sustainable real-estate location of meaning making called “Theatre of Living in the non-Twitter Zone” (TLnTZ)

Enable developmentally disabled individuals, via artistic and therapeutic engagement, “Become Citizens” and “Ignited Minds”

Provide a hub for changing minds of potential investors who are currently parked in the “Theatre of Living in the Twitter Zone” (TLTZ) real-estate and have an inclination to shift priorities and cross the bridge to TLnTZ real-estate

A NEW VISION FOR AMERICA

“We can save America. The union of political freedom and economic power in democratic capitalism can and shall create not a perfect world, but a wonderful one. Such a system is the only acceptable destiny for humanity, because it represents the only possible way to achieving the fullest flowering of freedom, a world in which we shall study war no more and in which poverty, privation, hunger and want are dim memories of a long, suffering, upward struggle.” (Mark Draper, Director of Curriculum, The Institute of American Liberty, Nov 22,1996)
