SIRTE OIL COMPANY – MP-0553 Crude Tanks Farm Rehabilitation Tanks 1&16.
In the year 2005, SIRTE Company for Production & Manufacturing of Oil and Gas has assigned to SINIT, with contract no. 907749-220-016, the project no. MP-0553 Crude Tanks Farm Rehabilitation Tanks 1 and 16. Tanks diameter: 60,96 mt. The scope of the contract was :
1. Supply of all material for the replacement of tank floors, floating roofs, wind girders, as listed in the scope of work (including all consumables).
2. Supply of all coating materials (grit, paint, fiberglass lining) for the internal and external surfaces of the tanks.
3. Supply of all instrumentation, electrical items as listed in the scope of work. 4. Supply of piping materials (including valves, gauge holes covers, relief valves, drain
hoses, isolation kits for inlet and outlet flanges). 5. Supply of tank seals (primary and secondary) and corrosion inhibitor for testing. 6. Supply of all civil work materials including (concrete, rebars, sealants and SINIT
materials for pipes and valves foundations repairs). 7. Supply of electrodes, cathodic protection and test stations. 8. Supply of copper wire for grounding. 9. Supply of all electrical power required by the contractor at site. 10. Supply of 2.500sq.m, 2 m/h scaffolding, cranes, generators, air compressors, welding
equipment and all that was necessary for completion of the work. The 1100 tons of pre-cut and pre-shaped steel materials for the 2 tank bottoms and the 2 floating roofs, manufactured in Europe, plus 1x80 and 1x40 tons cranes, plus 2500sq.m special Pilosio scaffolding, plus diesel generators, air compressors, automatic welding equipment (sub-arc), x-ray machine and other equipment, have been shipped to Libya by a chartered vessel. The completion of the contract has required more than 70.000 man/hours.
