    group (Appendiceslandll) . ThecharacterlistwasmodifiedffomthatusedbvSenter (2003).Thelatterlistwasusedasa

    basebecauseitwasconstructedlargelywithoutreferencetopre-

    viouslypublishedphylogeneticstudies,soastoavoidbiaSofre-

    sultstowardthoseofprevious smdies. However, it included

    manycharactersiITelevanttocoelurosaurphylogenyandlacked

    manycharacters relevant tophylogenywithinDromaeosauri-

    dae. Characters irrelevant tocoelurosaurphylogenywerede-

    leted, and characters relevant to phylogeny within

    Dromaeosauridaewereadded. Allcharacterswerelefiunor-

    dered. OnlyonesupraspecifIctaxon (Pro"ノ℃ルαgOpだノ)'Lhr)wasusedintheanalysis.

    PhylogeneticanalysiswaspelfbrmedwithPAUP4.0bsoff-

    ware (SwofTbrd,2002),usingbothabranch-and-boundsearch

    andahlllheuristicsearch. ABremeranalysisandabootstrap

    analysis (100replicatesinbranch-and-boundmode,withlO

    random-additionsequencesperreplicate)wereperfbnnedwiththesamesoftware.
