To celebrate the kick off to the 2014 racing season, Smithfield and Winn-Dixie are partnering to help feed Florida families by donating 40,000 pounds of protein to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida as part of Smithfield’s “Helping Hungry Homes” program. Representatives from Smithfield and Winn-Dixie, along with Richard Petty, will present the donation at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 20 th, during a press conference at Winn-Dixie (Store #2309). Fans who attend the donation dressed as Petty will be included in a group photo with "The King" and receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes from Smithfield. Petty will draw the winning ticket for one lucky fan to receive a year's worth of free Smithfield Bacon, and two Grand Prize winners will receive a pair of gift cards for the Richard Petty Driving Experience. In addition, the first 50 fans to arrive to the donation event dressed as "The King" will receive a wrist band to participate in an on-site autograph session, during which Petty will sign one item per fan.

Fans will have the chance to participate in a group photo with “The King” and win raffle prizes from Smithfield, including a year's supply of bacon. The first 50 fans will receive a wristband for an on-site autograph session.

Vicki Wood made her mark as one of the first women to race on the beach in the years before Daytona International Speedway opened in 1959. She recorded one of the fastest one-way run by a woman in the history of racing on the sands of Daytona with a top speed of 150 mph. Both racing pioneers met at the Winn-Dixie in Holly Hill.
