Key Decisions of WMO Governing Bodies for DRR Programme ( ) Cg-16 (2011) –Approved strategic priorities in DRR ( ) and identified disaster risk reduction as one of the 5 priority areas of WMO EC-64 (2012) –Adopted the DRR Programme Work Plan ( ) (Annex 1 to Resolution 8) –Established the DRR Thematic User-Interface Expert Advisory Groups (DRR UI EAGs) –Requested the Presidents of TCs: To engage with the DRR UI EAGs on needs and requirements; To develop a forward plan that highlighted concrete areas and mechanisms for engagements of Technical Commissions (TCs) in the implementation of the DRR Work Plan EC-65 (2013) –Adopted Terms of reference of Thematic User-Interface Expert Advisory Groups (DRR UI EAGs) –Requested the Presidents of TCs for implementation of DRR Work plan to: Evaluate current activities relevant to DRRWork plan Identify those activities that would require strengthened inter-commission coordination Identify new activities that may be considered overtime
