On behal o Gol Australia,
I am pleased to present Vision 2018:
The Future o Junior Gol in Australia.
It is an exciting time or junior gol
in Australia with Vision 2018: The Future
o Junior Gol in Australia aiming
to deliver a clear and unifed vision to all
member states, junior oundations and
junior gol stakeholders.
I am also pleased to introduce the
Australian Junior Gol Advisory Board
(AJGAB), with Peter Van Wegen,
Manager Jack Newton Junior Gol
Foundation, appointed the inaugural
Chair, and Sarah Barlow rom Womens
Gol South Australia as Deputy C hair.
The AJGAB has been appointed
to oversee the implementation
o Vision 2018: The Future o
Junior Gol in Australia.
Gol Australias strategic plan identifes
junior gol as a key priority or the viability
o the golfng industry. The Gol Australia
board and sta are committed, as are the
newly established Australian Junior Gol
Advisory Board, to the growth o junior
gol participation.
While junior gol has been well
represented at grass roots and club
level or many years, the clear strategies
identifed in this document will ensure
its rightul position in the landscape
o gol throughout Australia.

The Australian gol industry has come
together in partnership to develop
a national vision or junior gol
in Australia.
Vision
To be a leading nation in attracting,
engaging and retaining junior golers.
The ollowing document clearly
identifes the opportunities and outlines
the priorities or delivery over the
next 10 years. These priorities have
been established through an ongoing
consultation process involving key state
and national stakeholders culminating
in the National Junior Gol Forum held
in February o 2007. We are pleased
to present the outcomes: Vision 2018:
The Future o Junior Gol in Australia.
Gol is a game or lie.
It is an activity that teaches participants
signifcant values and lie skills,
can be played by all and contributes
to an active and healthy liestyle.
It is vital that the junior gol participation
base is increased in order to contribute
to a healthy Australian community.
Vision 2018: The Future o Junior
Gol in Australia is a collaborationo thoughts, experiences and expertise
o key stakeholders. They have each
committed to meet the challenges acing
junior gol and to be at the oreront
o shaping the uture o junior
gol in Australia.
