BE IT REMEMBERED that a Special Meeting of the City Council of Jackson,Mississippi, was convened in the Council Chambers in City Hall at 4:00 p.m. on June 18,2015,being the third Thursday of said month, when and where the following things were had and doneto wit:

President Stamps requested that Agenda Item No.4 be moved forward on the agenda. Hearingon objections, the Clerk read the following:

ORDER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENTBETWEEN THE CITY OF JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI AND DOLLARHIDE FILM,INC FOR THE USE OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT LAKELANDYOUTH BASEBALL COMPLEX.

WHEREAS, Dollarhide Film Inc., desires to use city-owned property Lakeland YouthBaseball Complex located at 1399 Lakeland Drive, Jackson, Mississippi for certain filmingpurposes; and

WHEREAS, Dollarhide Film Inc. shall operate its Company and use the Lakeland YouthBaseball Field Complex in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the City.

IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED that the Mayor is authorized to execute an agreementwith Dollarhide Film Inc. for the use of the Lakeland Youth Baseball Complex.

Council Member Barrett-Simon moved adoption; Council Member Priester seconded.

President Stamps recognized Senator John Horne, who provided Council with a briefoverview of said order.

ORDER AUTHORIZING SALE OF CITY OWNED MOTOR VEHICLES ANDEQUIPMENT AT PUBLIC AUCTION ON JUNE 27, 2015.

WHEREAS, the City of Jackson is authorized by Section 17-25-25 of the MississippiCode of 1972, as amended, to dispose of surplus personal property through a public auction; and

WHEREAS, the Fleet Manager has identified in this order equipment and vehicles thatthe City of Jackson has ceased to use for public purposes; and

WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the City to dispose of the vehicles andequipment at a public auction; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jackson has retained Nick Clark Auctions, who meets therequirements of the State Department of Audit, to conduct the auction for the City.

The following reports/announcements were provided during the meeting:

• Gus McCoy announced the following:

o "Jobs for Jacksonians" recruiting session would be held on Wednesday, June 24,2015 in the Human and Cultural conference room in the Metrocenter Mall.

o Juneteenth Jackson 2015 would be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 11:00a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Battlefield Park.

o "Jackson Town Day at the Zoo" would be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015allowing Jackson residents to receive Y, off admission price.
