Our members:Five to seven years’ average work experience with global exposure from a wide range of industries and job functions. The average age of our students is 29 with a female to male ratio circa 25 per cent.

Global diversity:Past students have come from over 45 different countries in previous intakes.

Accreditation:Our degree is fully accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and we are in the process of gaining accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

MBA structure and dates:An accelerated full-time 12-month programme with one intake per year in September.

Admissions:We look for well-rounded personalities who have a clear idea of their career objectives, a focused approach and who can show:• High academic calibre, demonstrated

by a good university degree or at least six years’ business experience

• Relevant postgraduate work experience (three years minimum)

• A well-balanced score (minimum 600) in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) – the class average for recent intakes is a score of 645

You’ll start with an orientation programme, which includes the leadership and team building weekend workshop, introducing some basic concepts and techniques, as well as giving you a chance to get to know your tutors and fellow students.

The Core Business syllabus The first two blocks are devoted to core modules covering hard technical knowledge in areas like strategy, organisational behaviour, finance and quantitative methods.

We teach the core modules as integrated learning blocks. This approach ensures that connections between all the key disciplines are reinforced and practically applied. You’ll learn through a mix of expert tuition and hands-on exercises. Assessment is based on group project work and presentations, individual course work and integrated exams (core modules only). Throughout the programme there will be opportunities to work on company and sector-specific assignments.

Specialist paths: ElectivesIn your third block, you will take between six and ten elective modules. Each MBA is different and how you devise your electives plan will be unique to your own learning goals. For example you might choose to develop a specialist path in areas relating to consultancy,

The Business Research ProjectIn your final term you will draw on many of the elements of the course in a major piece of self-managed business consultancy. The output from this project will count substantially towards your final degree.

Most students apply for projects that are offered by companies through the Cass careers service, so their sponsors have a direct interest in the project theme or idea. Recent projects include: sources of competitive advantage in the high-end fashion industry;

the top 50 up and coming CEOs; building a niche strategy for HSBC’s South Asian banking division in the SME financing market; and developing logistical solutions for easyinternetcafé Ltd. Many projects are centred around a summer internship, designed to give you valuable practical experience and great networking opportunities. Sponsoring organisations get involved because they want to inject new thinking into their business, and they may also be looking to road-test promising new talent. So not only will the Business Research Project help consolidate everything you’ve learnt in a practical environment, it can in itself be a real step forward in your career.

With this strong emphasis on working across borders, we don’t just keep things in the classroom. We offer practical early exposure to some of the fastest developing markets* in the world, through electives on change management in South Africa and international Cass Symposia in China and Dubai. The first hand practical experience with real companies prepares you for global business thinking.

Student profiles

Accommodation A strictly limited allocation of accommodation places have been reserved for MBA students whomeet certain requirements. There are two options: Francis Rowley Court from approximately £113.05 per week and Willen House from approximately £152 to £172 per week. These places will be allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis to MBA candidates who have:1. Firmly accepted an unconditional

offer;2. Paid a deposit to secure their

place on the MBA by the deadline specified;

3. Sent an accommodation application form to the MBA admissions office.

We accept applications on a rolling basis. However, due to demand, we suggest that you submit your application by 30 April for entry in September.

VisaIf international students applying for the full-time MBA programme need to apply for a student visa, Cass will send a letter to support the visa application once they have met the following criteria:1. Firmly accepted an unconditional

offer;2. Paid a deposit to secure their

place on the MBA by the deadline specified;

3. Sent an accommodation application form to the MBA admissions office.
