Whether you were with the City

or more years we salute you for

your loyalty!

The Coral Gables Gram was a monthly newsletter sent out by

Ms. Virginia Paul who was once the City Clerk. In those

times she put the newsletter together each month . The City

Print shop, which no longer exists now, printed the letter and it

was disbursed to all employees and Retirees. With time the

newsletter retired just like the many employees who once read

it. Recently, Mr. Arnold Cuddy a retiree from the Building and

Zoning Dept. in 1988 called the Retirement office wanting an

update on the city. He asked about the Gables Gram and if it

was still in existence. He went on explaining that if the Gables

Gram was still around it would have kept him informed. Mr.

Cuddy hasn't visited the City Beautiful in so long and the Ga-

bles Gram was a small object with so much meaning . A few

days later the Retirement office received a package from Mr.

Cuddy with copies of the Gables Gram included. His enthusi-

asm and kind gesture sparked for the Retreat to be created.

Thank you

Mr. Cuddy
