Massimiliano Pisapia was born in Turin and started his studies in 1992. From 1997 he continued them under the guidance of renowned tenor Franco Corelli.
In 2001 he won the 'Giulietta Simionato' and 'Tito Gobbi' competitions and then made his debut in the role of Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly in theatres in Pavia, Brescia, Como and Mantua. He also sang this role at the Opéra de Marseille, in Tokyo, Bassano, Savona, Modena and in Piacenza.
In 2001 he performed at the first modern production of Rendano’s Consuelo at the Teatro Rendano in Cosenza and then made his debut as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto in Faenza. In the following seasons he sang in Les Contes d'Hoffmann with As.Li.Co., in La Traviata at the Teatro Coccia di Novara, in Faenza, in Macbeth at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, in Simon Boccanegra at the Teatro Regio Turin, in Capriccio in Cagliari, and in La Bohéme at the Teatro Regio Turin, at theTeatro Massimo Palermo, at La Scala, Milan and the Arena di Verona.
In 2004 he sang the role of Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly in Verona (conductor Daniel Oren), at the Teatro alla Scala (conductor B. Bartoletti) and in 2005 at the Teatro Regio di Parma.
He made his debut in the role of Riccardo in Un Ballo in Maschera at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste and in the role of Oronte in I Lombardi alla prima crociata at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires and Teatro Comunale in Florence.
Massimiliano also has an active schedule of concert performances with orchestras around
the world. He has sung in Rossini’s Stabat Mater with the Orchestra Verdi di Milano and in Dvorak’s Stabat Mater at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona (conductor Daniel Oren).
In 2005 he performed at La Scala Milan, the Arena di Verona and at the Teatro Regio in Turin in La Bohème and returned there in 2006 at the time of the Olympic Games.
In the 2005/06 season he triumphed in Un Ballo in Maschera in Leipzig under the guidance of Maestro Riccardo Chailly, in Roberto Devereux at the Teatro delle Muse in Ancona, in Rossini’s Stabat Mater with the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Verdi in Milan, in La Bohème at the Opernhaus of Zurich, Un Ballo in Maschera at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, L’Elisir d’amore in Savona and in Madame Butterfly at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago.
The 2006/07 season has started with his successful performances in Roberto Devereux at the Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, in Rossini’s Stabat Mater at the Opernhaus in Zürich and in La Bohème in Florence, Un Ballo in Maschera in Leipzig, at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari and at the Teatro Real in Madrid, La Bohème in Valencia, Hamburg, Torre del Lago, at the Opernhaus of Zürich and Simon Boccanegra in Hamburg and Valencia.
His future engagements include La Traviata in Buenos Aires, Gianni Schicchi in Frankfurt, Maria Stuarda at the Macerata Opera Festival, Luisa Miller at the Teatro Regio in Turin and Puccini’s Messa di Gloria at the Teatro Municipal de Sao Paulo.

Carlo Caputo studied at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Turin, graduating in Piano and Composition. He continued his studies with the 'Trio di Trieste' at the Fiesole Music School and the 'Duino Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento' and in Vienna with the ' Wiener Schubert Trio'. He subsequently founded the 'Quartetto R. Strauss' and played many concerts with them in Italy and abroad. He has also won many prizes in competitions, including 1st Prize in the Antwerpen Orpheus Competition, Special Prize at the Portschach J. Brahms Competition and 2nd Prize at the Guerande Competition for French Music. Since 1987 he has been Voice Coach at the Teatro Regio in Turin and since 2000 has worked as a conductor, particularly in the operatic repertoire, with conductors including B. Bartoletti, Y. Aronovitch, B. Campanella, M. Plasson, R. Abbado and J. Tate. He has conducted Bizet’s Carmen, Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Donizetti’s Don Pasquale at the Nichelino Teatro Superga, and Puccini’s La Bohème and Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Vercelli Teatro Civico.
In the spring of 2003 he conducted an operatic-symphonic concert at the Teatro Regio, Turin featuring soprano Giovanna Casolla. During the summer of 2003 he conducted La Bohème again and 'Una provincia all’Opera' in Alessandria and other towns, for seven performances. In December 2003 he conducted Rigoletto at the Alessandria Teatro Comunale, in February 2004 he conducted L’Elisir d’Amore at the Nichelino Teatro Superga, and during the winter season in 2005 he conducted Tosca at the same theatre. In May 2006 he was assistant to Maestro Evelino Pidò at the Paris Theatre des Champs-Elysèes in a staging of Don Giovanni and will do so again in September at the Opera Bastille for L’ Elisir d’amore.
