View Your Conversation History By default, Office Communicator 2007 saves your conversations and stores them in a folder in Outlook. The default folder name is Conversation History. You can rename the folder at any time. Open Outlook. In your folder list, click the Conversation History folder. Note To turn the save conversation feature in Office Communicator on or off, in the Communicator title bar, click the Menu button, point to Tools, and then click Options. In the Options dialog box, clear the Save my instant message conversations in the Outlook Conversation History folder check box. 1 2 Set Up Your Do Not Disturb Access List You can designate which contacts can send you instant messages when your status is set to Do Not Disturb by changing their level of access to you. Contacts with the Team level of access can send you an instant message when your status is set to Do Not Disturb. Instant messages from contacts without the Team level of access go to your e-mail Inbox instead. Open Office Communicator 2007. Right-click a contact, point to Change Level of Access, and then click Team. Repeat this step for each contact you would like to be able to send messages to you when your status is set to Do Not Disturb. Note To see the list of contacts in the Team group, in the Communicator title bar, click the Menu button, point to View, and then click Access Levels. 1 2 Move Your IM Conversation to Live Meeting When you are in a conversation over Communicator, you can move yourself and the participants to a Live Meeting session to continue your discussion. During your IM conversation, in the conversation window, click the View more options menu, and then click Share Information Using Live Meeting. A Live Meeting session starts.

View Your Conversation HistoryBy default, Office Communicator 2007 saves your conversations and stores them in a folder in Outlook. The default folder name is Conversation History. You can rename the folder at any time.

Open Outlook.

In your folder list, click the Conversation History folder.

Note To turn the save conversation feature in Office Communicator on or off, in the Communicator title bar, click the Menu button, point to Tools, and then click Options. In the Options dialog box, clear the Save my instant message conversations in the Outlook Conversation History folder check box.

Set Up Your Do Not Disturb Access ListYou can designate which contacts can send you instant messages when your status is set to Do Not Disturb by changing their level of access to you. Contacts with the Team level of access can send you an instant message when your status is set to Do Not Disturb. Instant messages from contacts without the Team level of access go to your e-mail Inbox instead.Open Office Communicator 2007.

Right-click a contact, point to Change Level of Access, and then

click Team. Repeat this step for each contact you would like to be

able to send messages to you when your status is set to Do Not

Disturb.

Note To see the list of contacts in the Team group, in the Communicator title bar, click the Menu button, point to View, and then click Access Levels.

Move Your IM Conversation to Live MeetingWhen you are in a conversation over Communicator, you can move yourself and the participants to a Live Meeting session to continue your discussion.

• During your IM conversation, in the conversation window, click the View more options menu, and then click Share Information Using Live Meeting. A Live Meeting session starts.

Take Notes During Your IM ConversationUse OneNote® 2007 to take notes during your Office Communicator 2007 conversation.

During an IM conversation, in the conversation window, click the View more options menu button, and then click Take Notes Using OneNote. OneNote opens.

On the OneNote 2007 page, click under Notes, and start typing notes.

On the OneNote page, the participant names, date, and time are automatically added.

Use Communicator Features from within OutlookWhen Office Communicator 2007 is installed on your computer, the following Communicator features are integrated into Outlook 2007:

•Presence for all contacts in the From, To, and Cc lines.

• IM and Call buttons on the Message tab and options to call or send an Instant Message to a contact in the Outlook right-click shortcut menu. In an e-mail message, right-click the person’s name.

• Enhanced options in the Address Book Actions menu. In the Address Book, right-click the person’s name and click Properties, and then click Actions.
