Why do you think this is?

6

There are many reasons why people don’t help if someone is being bullied.BUT did you know….

Bullying will stop in less than 10 seconds nearly 60% of the time when peers intervene.

but also:* adults who take no action when

they see young people being bullied;

* parents who offer little support, and * school and community settings that

Bullying is now happening everywhere and you could be standing or sitting next to someone whilst they are being bullied, without even realising.

14

This means that EVERYONE has a responsibility and a part to play to

STOP bullying.

15

The majority of children, adults, schools and communities want to take action to tackle bullying but sometimes it can be hard to know who to tell, who can help

and what strategies really work.

Doing something is better than doing nothing.

Keep your eyes open, don’t walk by and think it’s none of your business. It IS your business.

Be a friend. You never know what a smile or an “are you ok” might do……
