1. PURPOSE:A. To lay down procedure for plasterwork over block/ brickwork & R.C.C.

Surfaces.

B. To bring uniformity in Job supervision.

C. To minimize error & non-conformance.

2. REFERENCE

3. RESPONSIBILITIES

Civil Engineer:

Shall report to the Resident Construction Manager and shall be responsible for Preparation of work schedule addressing specific issues and characteristics of each spread.

Overall control and safety management and for the implementation of procedure and supervises the activity.

Generation of reports during the activity.

Explaining all other persons involved in erection and installation of the detailed operations to be done during the activity.

Preparing list of materials / sanitary fittings / pipes along with class and make and got approved from engineer in charge.

QC ENGINEER:

Reports to site QA/QC In-Charge

Ensures proper implementation of this procedure.

Checks & verifies the activity.

Verifies & countersigns reports.

HSE Officers:

Shall reports to Resident Construction Manager/Project Manager administratively and to HO

For technical matters and shall be responsible for

Implementation of all safety requirements during survey operations

Ensuring that the communication system is working properly and that emergency equipment is in place

4. DETAILS:

a. The scaffolding work shall be carried as per MECON specification for structural concrete.

b. Surface over which plaster is to be put shall be prepared and moisture.

c. Plaster preparation shall be as per specification/ requirements.

d. Plaster thickness shall be as per approved drawings & specification.

e. The sequence of plaster shall be ceiling and then sidewall from top to bottom.

f. On concrete surface a thin coat of cement slurry shall be spread to ensure bond.

g. Surface finish shall be as per specification for the work.

h. The verticality and surface are checked with respect to thickness.

i. Safety measures shall be taken up as safety handbook.

j. Record shall be maintained for the acceptance of plastering.

k. Pointing works shall conform to the tender document specification.

5. RECORDS:

a) Inspection test plan for plastering (JPL/KKBMPL/CIVIL/ITP 10 Rev 01)

NOTE:

In case of any conflict between the requirements of this procedure and that of above referred specification, and then requirements of the later shall govern, until and unless specific intention is meant.
