Describe business strategy that project aligns to.
Authorizes the Project Leader to start project specific activities
A "go/no go" decision is made by the Sponsor.
Acquire and organize staff (project team). Acquire project team members by 1 to 1 discussionsRole and responsibilities assigned to each team member.

Define, sequence and estimate duration for theproject activities
An activity list (list of all activities that will be performed on the
project)Create the Work Breakdown Structure(WBS)
Estimate of durations (time required) for each activity and
assumptions related to each estimate

Obtain final approval from the Project Sponsor.(for medium & high priority/ complexity projects)
A "Project Charter" is created containing: Project Charter Project Leader & ProjectOffice Specialist Detailed business benefits and their sequence of being released

State the final budget and the constraints, dependencies, time
schedule
Final "go/no go" decision made by the Sponsor.
Create a formal project communication plan.(for medium & high priority/complexity projects)
A communication management plan, including:
Regular team meetings schedule
Internal and external channels of communication, frequencyand types of messages
Project Leader & ProjectOffice Specialist
Identify risks and plan to respond. (for medium
& high priority projects)
A document describing potential risks, including their sources,
Probability & Impact, and solutions to address them.

Execute project activities Work results (deliverables) are created.Change requests (i.e., based on changes in the project) are identified.
Periodic progress reports released.Team performance assessed, guided, and improved if needed.
