Instructions
1. Choose your favourite motif and a matching layout template from pages (5 - 12). Transfer the layout template (pages 11-13) on to the plywood (1). For variation 1 both supplied wooden panels will be needed for a front and back panel. In order to be able to saw the two recesses, drill a ø 2mm hole on the cutting lines and feed the blade of your fretsaw through it. Then saw a recess and clean up the edges with sandpaper. Drill a ø 3mm hole. To make sure that the dril-lings are in registry with each other, put both front and back panels on top of each other and stabilise. Also drill a ø 10mm hole for the clock-work. (only back panel!) For the shelf clock transfer the foot rests 2x on to the remaining plywood and saw out. Clean up the sawed edges.

The clock without hands offers many design possibilities. Variation 1 shows the construction of a round wall clock, which can also be assembled as a shelf clock. We supply 5 different motif templates to choose from for variation 1. Variation 2 shows the construction of a shelf clock in the shape of an hourglass. Of course you can use your own designs as well for making these clocks. The instructions below cover the construction of both variations.

3. Variation 1: use the template (pages 17/19) and trace the circle (3a) ø 168 mm and the correspon-ding ring (3b) on to the cardboard. Cut out with a craft knife or a pair of scissors. Drill the centre hole ø 6,5mm through the cardboard circle ø 168mm. Mark the centre of the beermat (2) and drill a ø 4,5mm hole.Cardboard (3b)

3a) Cut out the dials for the wall clock or the shelf clock (round) from page 15.
3b) Variation 2: take the three beermats (2). Mark the centre point on one of them and drill a ø 6,5mm hole. Cut two rings from the other two beermats, following the template (page 14). Cut a ø 69 mm circle from one of the beermat cut-offs and mark the centre point. Drill a ø 4,5mm hole.
5. For both variations 1 und 2 cut off the hands from the hand mechanisms (5) as shown. Only the eyelets that held the hands remains. Glue the eyelet with the bigger hole to the back of the big dial (3a respectively 2a). Glue the eyelet with the small hole to the back of the small dial (2 respectively 2c). This step is not absolutely neces-sary. The hands can also be glued to the back uncut.

6. Put the finished hour dial as well as the minute dial on the correct shaft of the quartz clock movement (4) (see drawing variation 1+2). Place the dials in such a way, that the 12 and the 0 are in the top position.
3c) Cut out the two dials from page 14.
4. For both variations glue the pieces to-gether as shown. Make sure that the edges are glued together well. For variation 1 glue part 3b to part 3a. For variation 2 glue the two beermat rings (2b) together and then stick them to part 2a.

Instructions
7. Choose one of the motives and copy it on to the front panel. We recommend you paint the front panel before assembling it. Acrylic paint is best for colouring in the panel.
8. Insert the four cylinder head screws (7) from the front through the ø 3mm hole. Add a spacer sleeve (6) to each of the screws and stick the screws with the spacer sleeves into the ø 3mm hole in the back panel as shown.
9. Screw the four nuts (8) from the back on to the cylinder head screws (7) and tighten.
10. For the shelf clock version of the clock without hands glue the foot rests on as shown.
11. Insert battery (1,5 V Mignon) and use the small wheel on the clockwork to adjust the time. If this isn’t enough, move the respective dials! The number in the top recess shows the hours. The minutes show in the lower recess.
