Materials: 2-3 oz Red Heart worsted weight yarn in Paddy Green, 1-2 oz Red Heart Super Saver yarn in RoyalBlue, Delft Blue and Light Blue, Size H crochet hook, Needle to take yarn, Two 1” Wiggle Eyes, Two ½” Wig-gle Eyes, 3 Red & 3 Yellow Chenille Stems, One 1” Red pom-pom, Two Yellow & One Red ½” pom-poms,Two Yellow ¼” pom-poms, Two 1/8” Yellow pom-poms, Craft glue, Small amount of stuffing, 6 (2 costume, 1hat & 3 top) Small snaps, Sewing needle and Sewing thread.

Gauge: 5 hdc sts = 1-1/2”, 3 rows hdc = 1”, appliqué is 3-1/2” long; toy is 6” tall not including antenna.Finished Size: Will fit 12-13-inch Baby Doll

Copyright 2012 DCollinsworth 8Color Dots For Appliqué:With yarn and H hook rep rnd 1 of appliqué, fasten off.-Make 1 of Royal Blue, 1 of Delft and 1 of Light Blue.Sew ea color dot to back of caterpillar appliqué. Glue the 1/8” red pom-pom to its face for its nose. With Blackcrochet thread and needle make a French knot for its eye. Cut a Red and Yellow chenille stem to 4”. Twist togand fold in half. Carefully wind ea end around something small to coil. Glue 1/8” Yellow pom-pom to ea endof antenna. Glue antenna to back of head. Sew appliqué to front of top.

Caterpillar Toy:With Green and H hook ch-3, sl st to form a ring.RND 1: Ch-1, work 10 sc in ring, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (10 sts)RND 2: (2 sc next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (15 sts)RND 3-7: Sc ea st around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.RND 8: Sc 1st st, (sk next st, sc next st) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. Bottom For Puff:Rep rnd 1 of Puff. Fasten off end rnd 1.-Make 1 of Royal Blue, 1 of Delft and 1 of Light Blue.Stuff ea Puff and sew bottom on. Sew Puffs into a line and then onto the back of the toy. Glue ½” wiggle eyesand ½” Red pom-pom to face. With the remaining Red and Yellow chenille stem, twist and insert into the toy’shead like you did for the doll’s cap. Twist ea side around a pencil and glue ¼: Yellow pom-pom to ea end.
