The CUNY Campaign for Voluntary Charitable Giving

Message from Chancellor James B. Millikin

To The City University of New York Community,

The CUNY Campaign for Voluntary Charitable Giving is an opportunity for all of us to helpour friends and neighbors across the city access services that are vital to our community. Formore than 30 years, CUNY faculty and staff have responded enthusiastically to this annual callfor help. It is a tradition to be proud of, and your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Last year’s campaign raised over $400,000, with half of those funds directed to campus-basedcharities that support valuable programs at our colleges, such as scholarship funds and campuschild development centers. Donations from the CUNY community improve the health, education, and well-being of New Yorkers across the five boroughs. With your support, families andindividuals will continue to have programs and services to turn to throughout the year.

Please join me in supporting The CUNY Campaign and demonstrating the impact of the Powerof One, the Strength of the Many to make a difference in the lives of others.

James B. MillikenChancellor

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As Chair of the 2015 CUNY Campaign for Voluntary Charitable Giving, I invite you to joinme in supporting your favorite charity. One single action can have a ripple effect that will changelives. That’s the Power of One, the Strength of Many! We all have a story that has inspired us to give back. Perhaps it was a student who overcamesignificant obstacles to earn a degree; or maybe it was a family member who is faced with aserious illness.

I encourage you to support the organizations that have made a difference in your life throughThe CUNY Campaign. The money that you and your colleagues donate will come back tobenefit you, your loved ones and our community in so many ways. A gift to one of our CUNYCollege Foundations, for example, can change the life of a student through a scholarship orfunding to a campus child development center.

And it’s so easy to give! You can contribute through a payroll deduction, by writing a check orusing a credit card. I invite you to visit our website at www.cuny.edu/campaign and learnhow you can make a difference by participating in CUNY’s wonderful tradition of giving. Onbehalf of the City University and all those that The CUNY Campaign helps, thank you.
