Download Instruction – Software On the Biodex website, Nuclear Medicine section, navigate to the ‘Software Downloads’ page under ‘Products’ in the left navigation bar, and select Atomlab 960 Software Upgrade v1.0.66.0 See Figure 1 and follow the download instructions below:

How to Download and Prepare the Updater Program
1. Using a PC with internet access, download and save the Updater Program
<Atomlab960Updater.exe> file to the PC. Go to the folder location to where the file was downloaded.
2. Select and right click on the <Atomlab960Updater.exe> file. Select the <Copy> option.
3. Insert a Flash drive into the PC’s USB port. Take note of what drive letter is assigned to it. (In this example we are using the “E” drive.) Go to <Start> <Computer>. Select the USB Flash drive.
4. Right click on the Flash drive and select the <Paste> option. Now the <Atomlab960Updater.exe> file will be on the Flash drive.

5. Remove the Flash drive from the PC and go to the Atomlab 960 flat panel PC.

How to Run the Atomlab 960 Updater Program To run the Atomlab 960 Updater Program, log in using the Biodex username on the Atomlab 960 flat panel PC. If you are currently logged on as another user, log off the system. Log back in as Biodex. TIP: In order to perform this operation, it is best to connect a USB mouse to the panel. The settings, screen and buttons of the Windows Operating System respond better using a mouse rather than using the touch screen. 1. Make sure that no test is currently running on the Atomlab 960 software. Exit out of the
Atomlab Software using (X) from the Home screen.
2. Connect the USB Flash drive to the Atomlab 960 flat panel PC. 3. Go to <Start> <Computer>. Double click on the USB Flash drive. Take note of what drive
letter is assigned to it. (In this example we are using the “E” drive.)
4. Double click on the <Atomlab960Updater.exe> file. A pop-up dialog box titled User Access Control may appear. Click the <Yes> button.
5. Once executed, the following screen will appear (assuming the Atomlab 960 program is not
running in the background). If the program is running, refer to the FAQ section of this document, “Atomlab Software Running in the Background.”

6. The Updater Program will search for the Atomlab 960 software and will update the existing
version.
At this stage, it may take a while to start updating the database. The following screen will be displayed once the database update process begins.

7. Once the program and database are finished updating, Finished will be displayed on the screen. Click <Close> button to close the Updater Program.
8. This completes the Updater Program. Remove the Flash drive. Restart the Atomlab 960
software. NOTE: While running the software updater program, if the user does not see the screen shots provided in this document, they should contact the Biodex Customer Service Department.

FAQ: Atomlab Software Running in the Background: If the Atomlab 960 software is running in the background while trying to run Updater, the Updater will display the following message.
Click <Accept> to proceed with updating the Atomlab 960 software. If <Cancel> is chosen, the Updater Program will be aborted.

Atomlab Updater - Run More Than Once: If the Updater Program and the existing program are the same version, the following message will be displayed.
