MEC Container Safety Systems is a technique specialized German engineering company with more than 25 years experience in lashing equipment.

Our range of services and deliveries comprises the elaboration of opti - mized stowage systems in close cooperation with Shipyards and Shipown - ers, taking into consideration the practical requirements to the vessel. The development and production of fixed and loose fittings for container ships, PCTC’s and RoRo carriers is approved by all major classification societies as DNV GL, LRoS and ABS. Our production facility is a 100 % owned subsidiary with technical know-how and quality control according to German standards.In our head-office in Hamburg, all design projects like cellguide systems, lashing bridges, container stanchions and working platforms are elabo rated by well experienced shipbuilding engineers.

Container Lashing ManualThe Container Lashing Manual is a lashing plan which has to be approved by the relevant classification society and must be kept on board.

Blind FramesContainer blind frames or trestles offer high flexibility to ship owners to stow containers even on places that are not especially fitted for carriage of those. Container capacity is increased without extremely high investment, space without use is reduced as much as possible. Installation can be fixed or removable.

OFFSET PLAN

Deck and HoldOffset plans are indicating the exact position of sockets, single and double lashing plates on weather deck and guide fittings and welding cones in hold. When receiving an order for fixed lashing equipment, MEC always prepares offset drawings if not otherwise specified. Offset drawing do not need to be approved by classification societies.

Cargo Securing ManualThe Cargo Securing Manual (CSM) complies with the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The CSM is generally approved by classification societies on behalf of the flag state of the vessels.
