It also allows you to use VISA or Master-card so you will be able to earn your miles or other awards on your credit cards. You can access our secure site by using the link on our parish website at www.SaintChris.com. Thank you in advance for you support of our parish.

A big Thank You to the 706 families who have al-ready replied to the 2017 ADA. With your support we have reached our goal of $221,136 that was set by the Diocese. If you have not yet responded to ADA your participation is more important now than ever. Why? Because all money donated over and above our goal is 100% rebated back to the parish. Extra ADA envelopes can be found in the back of the Church as well as in the Parish Office. Or you can call the Parish Office at 269-2226 to have one mailed to you. Again, thank you all for your support and God Bless you and your family.

Peace must be built on the basis of justice in a world where the personal and social consequences of sin are evident. U.S. Bishops, “The Challenge of Peace,” #56 Solidarity…is not a feeling of vague compassion or shallow distress at the misfortunes of so many peo-ple, both near and far. On the contrary, it is a firm and persevering de-termination to commit oneself to the common good, that is to say, to the good of all and of each individu-al, because we are really responsible for all. St. John Paul II, “Solicitude Rei Socialis,” #38 It is no accident that the Risen Christ is discovered in the breaking of bread which takes place after the sharing of stories and questions on the road. The sharing of bread and the sharing of stories both bring people together. People begin to see things in a new way. In these experiences God is discovered. We dis-cover God in new ways when we listen to the stories of people, especially those who are in any way strug-gling or in need. We discover God when we share our own story. We discover God in the sharing of what we have been given, in the sharing of food. We discover God in the death and resurrection of Jesus and in the dying and rising of people today. The gospel story is a story of discovery, of finding God in the unexpected. It challenges us to look for God in the unexpected…especially in welcoming the stranger and the needy. Maybe, now is the time for us to learn anew from the wars in which we are in-volved. Maybe now is the time for us to reflect on the needs of immigrants and people of other ethnic and national backgrounds. Maybe now is the time for us to learn from the religious experience of others and from their struggle for justice. The social teaching of the church is concerned with the nourishment of all the people of the world…spiritually and also physically. Whenever we share the Eucharist, whenever we break bread together…we cannot but be aware of all those who are hungry. We cannot but be aware that all human beings share a common story. We cannot but be aware of our need to share what we have. We cannot but be aware of the need for justice in the world.
