Stitch & Chat with Monique

Embroider, smock or sew in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. These groups are perfect if you are a beginner or have some experience and would like a bit of help.

Come along and enjoy embroidering in a group of like-minded enthusiasts. This class is ideal you are embarking on a new project, designing your own or would like a bit of guidance with your stitching.

You will learn the correct way to produce perfect smocking stitches and how to combine stitches to produce beautiful designs.

Enjoy a morning of quiet knitting in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

This group is ideal for beginners.

Stumpwork Partridge with Anna

This project is a much smaller version the ‘Partridge in a Pear tree’ stumpwork picture featured in issue 67 of Inspirations magazine. In this class the partridge is worked onto an ornament shaped as a pear.

! Blackwork for Beginners with Di

This is a wonderful beginners class. You will learn to read a graph, practice the Holbein (or double running) stitch, and how to start and finish your threads so that the work is neat on the front and back. Wool embroidery for Beginners with Monique

There is nothing quite as cosy as stitching with wool on wool. In this class you will learn and practise basic stitches.

This class is ideal for beginners and those would like to learn how to prepare, smock and construct a bishop garment.

Goldwork embroidery for Beginners with Anna

Embroidering with metal threads is both fascinating and rewarding. During this short course you will learn some of the most elementary metal thread techniques such as brick couching, applying kid leather, chipping and couching twisted threads.

Embroidery for Beginners with Di

This class will enable you to recreate the most gorgeous needle case featured in Inspirations issue 73. This class is ideal for you to learn the basic stitches used in embroidery plus a few more advanced ones.
