Harvest Fest is Back on September 22An incredible evening of music and fun in Downtown Deerfield. Zengeler Cleaners celebrates longevity among its employees by recognizing those with 20 or more years of service. For the first time in the history of the Midwest’s oldest and largest drycleaner, the “20 Year Club” now exceeds 1,000 years of service to Ze-ngeler Cleaners customers. The family-owned business has 33 employees who have been with the company for 20 or more years, combining for 1,018 total years of service – a key to 161 years of success for the company! Zengeler Cleaners’ 20 Year Club is led by family patriarch Robert Zengeler, Sr., who still comes to work at age 88 to the Park Avenue store in Libertyville several days a week. “When employees observe my father still loving his work in his 73rd year, they also see him as both an inspiration and a role model,” according to Tom Zengeler, 5th generation company President. “His dedication sets a positive tone that reso-nates throughout the company.”

The Village of Deerfield invites you to the Deerfield Historical Society’s 50th Anniversary celebration on Sunday, September 30th, 11 am - 3 pm at the Historic Village.

Walgreen’s Deerfield opened their newly remodeled downtown Deerfield store this month. The Deerfield Walgreen’s store in-cludes new health and wellness services including vision and hearing.

The Township High School District 113 Board of Education is pleased to announce that during its Special Meeting on June 29, 2018, the Board approved the contracts of two Interim Superintendents and the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruc-tion & Assessment, and appointed a new Board Member to fill its vacant seat. District 113 is honored to welcome Dr. Benjamin Martindale and Dr. Linda Yonke who will share the Superintendent of Schools responsibilities effective July 2, 2018.

The Deerfield Police Department would like to remind residents to remain diligent with small pets as coyotes are common in this area of Illinois. Coyotes in Illinois are protected under the Illinois Wildlife Code and can only be removed if the animal appears to be sick or injured or a risk to human health or safety exists. Sky Fitness Corp celebrated the official groundbreaking of a new expansion project at Sky Fitness on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. One of Chicagoland’s fastest growing and most progressive fitness centers, Sky Fitness offers a wide range of activities, from hot yoga and personal training to ballroom dance and indoor cycling classes. The expansion project will add pickleball courts, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa area, and a restaurant/clubhouse to the 65,000 sq. ft. facility, further diversifying the amenities available to Sky Fitness members.

The Village of Bannockburn reminds you that all property sold within the Village of Bannockburn must receive a transfer com-pliance inspection prior to the transfer of the property. The purpose of the requirement is to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the Village and its residents by identifying “conditions of noncompliance” related to the water, sewer and storm water systems on properties in the Village through pretransfer property inspections.
