The Scientific Committee will review all abstracts and release their decision for acceptance by 25 th April 2017. Oral and poster presentations will be published in the Book of Abstracts only if at least one of the authors has registered for the Congress. Poster Posters size must be 80 cm wide x 100 cm long and will be fixed on the Thursday morning. At least one of the authors should be present during the whole time of poster session. Certificate of attendance A certificate of attendance will be given at the end of the Congress. GENERAL INFORMATION The Congress venue is centrally located in Pisa at the Sala Convegni, Polo Piagge, Università di Pisa, Via Matteotti 11. Pisa is located in Central Italy (Tuscany) and is a beautiful small historic city on the river Arno, close to the Tyrrhenian sea and of course well known for its famous leaning tower. Pisa can be easily reached by plane, train and car. Direct flights connected Pisa Galileo Galilei International Airport with several Italian and European cities. The Congress will start on the afternoon of Wednesday 28 th with two plenary lectures and will continue on Thursday 29 th and Friday 30 th with further plenary lectures, short lectures, poster presentations and round table on the most recent issues related to botanicals and phytochemicals. The official language is English; no simultaneous translation will be provided. Additional information is available on the Congress website from the end of February 2017.    ITALIAN  SOCIETY  OF  PHYTOCHEMISTRY  (SIF)  and  Sciences  of  Medicinal,  Food  and  Fragrant  Plants   SIF   aim   is   to   promote   knowledge   of   the   plant   world   with   an  interdisciplinary   approach.   SIF   members   are   researchers   and  experts   in   the   field   of   botany,   phytochemistry,   ecology,  biochemistry,   pharmacology,   toxicology,   agronomy,   food,  cosmetics,  and  pharmaceutical  technology.  In  detail,  the  aims  are:    -­‐   to   promote   and   increase   the   scientific   research   in   all   the  above  mentioned  fields    -­‐   to  disseminate   the  acquired   scientific   knowledge  among   the  members,   stimulating   the   exchange   of   information,  collaboration  and  research  cooperation  -­‐   to   create   relations   with   other   scientific   societies   and  European  and  no-­‐European  centres  with  similar  purposes    -­‐   to   disseminate   the   importance   of   Medicinal,   Food   and  Fragrance  Plant  Sciences.
