Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by duplicating the concern.

Vehicle Inspection Chart

Inspect to determine if one of these mechanical or electrical concerns apply. (See Vehicle Inspection Chart)

If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the following symptom chart.

E: For system inspection and verification using New Generation Star (NGS) Tester 007-00500 or equivalent, See: Remote Control Alarm

System

E: Voltage and resistance readings can be obtained using Rotunda Digital Volt-Ohmmeter 014-00407 or Rotunda Dwell-Tach-Volt-Ohm

0010 or equivalents.

TEST AND SERVICE DOOR LOCK SYSTEM:

Check that battery is fully charged (if not, it may be causing the concern)

Disconnect and reconnect battery to make sure system is reset.

Perform the self test. If necessary, See: Remote Control Alarm and Lock System

Service only as specified in the tests.

Repeat the self test to make sure the system is operational.
