DUPONT CO.: TI-PURE Titanium Dioxide(Continued):

Product Description:

TI-PURE R-100 is a very low binder demand, easy dispersing pigment of interest for interior industrial and trade sales applications.

TI-PURE R-900 (R-940 Slurry) offers particular advantage in high gloss and semi-gloss finishes because of its high hiding power at low pigment volume concentrations plus excell- ent brightness, ease of dispersion, gloss and cleanness of tint. Its chalk resistance is satisfactory for many exterior trade sales paints. Accordingly, it can be considered as general purpose pigment.

TI-PURE H-901 has outstanding hiding efficiency in all types of flat paints and finds wide acceptance in emulsion paints.

TI-PURE R-902 (R-942 Slurry) has an excellent balance of chalk resistance and optical values in a broad range of exterior finishes. It is recommended for its high quality performance in automotive refinish and exterior trade sales paint. High level of chalk resistance in addition to its optical properties make it a multipurpose pigment for both interior and exterior coatings.

TI-PURE R-931 (R-941 Slurry) provide a good balance between hiding power and film integrity in high PVC flat pigments. They are most efficient in paints containing 2.0 lb. or more Ti02 per gallon with the PVC ranging between 45% and 608.

TI-PURE R-960 provides outstanding chalk resistance, tint retention and gloss retention along with excellent low-shear dispersion, color acceptance (resists flocculation) and hiding power. Because of its excellent exterior durability, it is the pigment of choice for automotive OEM topcoats and coil coatings for residential and industrial siding.

TI-PURE Rutile Slurries retain the performance properties of their respective dry TI-PURE counterparts. However, they offer significant advantages in ease of handling, reduced waste, lower raw materials and dispersion costs.
