Reading

Writing Next week we start writing persuasive essays about a change we want to see in our world. In your writer’s notebook, turn to a clean page, label it Persuasive Essay Ideas, and make a list of as many changes you’d like to see in our class, school, neighborhood, or in your family. Your ideas must be something that are actually possible and realistic (not: I think everyone should get one million dollars).

Here are some examples:

● Our class should get a new smartboard since ours shows up yellow.● My family should get a new sofa because ours is ripped.● Our school should have more vegetarian choices for students who don’t eat meat.

● People should stop throwing trash on the ground in our neighborhood.Put a star next to one idea that you’d like to write about in your on-demand on Tuesday.

Math Complete the mid-module assessment task to show yourself all that you’ve learned about multiplication and division in the first half of this year. This may also show you the things you still need to practice before the state test. If you realize you still don’t understand something on this task, please write me a note below.

Ms. Hokanson, I still need help with…

Science Closely read and annotate the text, “Your Source and Receiver.”

Sound source= the thing that makes the noise

Sound receiver= the thing that receives or hears the noise.

How does the sound source in the human body make a sound? Use details from the text to support your answer.
