Fill in your reading log. Remember that readers predict the lesson that the book will teach. Try out the preview work we did in class today and jot down what lesson the story might tell and explain how you know. Use the following sentence starter: “This seems like the kind of story that will teach you…” Writing: Narrative Writing. This week, our goal is to bring our characters to life by including details, talk, and action. As you begin a new piece make sure you are includin details (descriptions, actions), talk (characters talking back and forth to each other/conversations), and actions. Your piece is due on Friday. Tuesday 1/16/18 Reading: Getting to Know Characters. 30-40 minutes of reading. Fill in your reading log. Remember that readers predict the lesson that the book will teach.
