ATTENTION EXHIBITORS: No Brittany owned or co-owned by the Sweepstakes Judge may beexhibited at the National Specialty Show in any class. The National Specialty Show Chairper-son will not handle or enter any dogs solely owned by him/her. Any dog that is owned or co-owned by the National Show Chairperson that resides with said person shall not be eligibleto be entered in conformation competition.

EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTEExhibitors should follow their Veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal andexternal parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.


SHOW SITEThe Show Grounds at this Show constitute the entire fairgrounds.The Show Site will be available to exhibitors after the Show Superintendent sets up Wednesday,November 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Building will be locked Wednesday at 8:00 PM. NO DOGS inbuilding overnight. The building will be opened at 6:30 am Thursday through Saturday. Onthese days, the building will be locked at 8:00 pm. Dogs and crates must be removed from theshow site 1/2 hour following the Top 20 Banquet Saturday, November 17, 2018. The doors willbe locked at 8:00 pm each night. All regulations governing the use of this facility and allregulations and decisions of the Show Committee of this show giving club on these days willbe strictly enforced, but not limited to that which is recorded in the premium list.

GROOMING & VENDING area will be in the same building as the Show. In the free groomingarea, crates must be stacked and there is NO electric available. EXHIBITORS AND HANDLERSwill be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their crates. Exhibitors who do notkeep their areas clean will be asked to leave. Dogs may be exercised only in designated areasoutside the show building.You are welcome to bring your own exercise pens but they must be set up in designatedplaces. Exercise Pens are not to be left unattended. This will be strictly enforced. Dogs foundin an unsafe environment, distress or harm’s way (i.e. left unattended on a grooming table ina noose not attached to a safety release clip; left in a vehicle without proper ventilation) willbe removed to safety.

EXHIBITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP AFTER THEIR DOGS AT ALL TIMES, including inthe ring. Pooper scoopers and trash cans will be available. Not cleaning up after your dog willresult in action (including a Bench Show Hearing) from the Show Committee. This includes anycomplaints received from Hotels. Dumping of dog food or grooming residue into the rest roomsinks and toilets is prohibited. NO DOGS will be allowed in the rest rooms. Dog bathing facilitieswill be available outside the building; please do not bath dogs in the restrooms.

PARKING There is a 30 minute loading and unloading time limit. All parking will be on a firstcome, first serve basis. Extra spaces may not be saved by roping off, using empty crates,exercise pens, chairs or any equipment. Club officials may require that vehicles or equipmentbe rearranged to accommodate vehicles. All vehicles will be parked at the owner’s risk andthe American Brittany Club will NOT BE responsible for loss by fire, burglary, theft or any othercause whatsoever to the vehicle or its contents.

Refund of entry fees for bitches entered in obedience and/or rally that come into season afterthe designated date and time of closing for these trials may be obtained by sending aveterinarian’s certificate to the Show Superintendent. The Mini Me's Class is open to ANY child who is interested in showing their dog at the Nation-als. Participants can be any age up to Junior's eligibility. Each child will enter the ring withtheir dog. Adults will be positioned around the ring for assistance as needed. Each child willpresent their dog to the judge. Each child will receive a lovely rosette sponsored by Dr. BrianHendrickson. These young people represent the future of our sport, so please encourage andsupport our future handlers.

Convalescencefrom a medical procedure, illness and recuperation from injuries are examples of conditions that are not emergencies.The emergency use of a ramp may be allowed on a day and may be extended to include a cluster as well as judging

either a group and/or Best In Show.(In all but emergency situations, the exhibitor has no recourse. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp isnot indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund).

INSTRUCTIONS1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular varietyyou are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but notexceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white),Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby,Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Recordand dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championshipsare unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from thedate of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided,then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e, agedivision, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registereddog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed afterthe date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog isrecorded in his/her name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, referto Chapter 11, Section 3.)

5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience, and Rally trials should mark Breed as “All-American Dog/MixedBreed.” Sire and Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.
