Since the month

of December

we have made

two visit per month

to the prison of Porto Azzuro, in the morning

from 10,30 to 12,30.

Meeting with the prisoner explaining the programme.

The reaction of the prisoner was very positive, we answer several questions, the prisoner are interested and impression is that we can work

well with them!

The Prisoner are telling us that, they did not get called in the mornig of the meeting so same of theme got to the meeting quite late, we had to

start all over the daily programme wich was base on local recipes, never the less we had a good

lecture about "The food of Elba”. The prisoner asked a lots of questions showing

interest!!

We ask the Prisoners to make a Logo for "Taste of Freedom "

We had a long conversation about their local Food, and the ingredients use in there territory.

Once more we ask to write for us local Recipe that wil be discussed at our next meeting.

We got 12 different Logo and about 45 recipe!!

We had a very interesting morning discussing every Logo and every

recipe, very happy to see how much effort they put into our request, and how proud they were of their work.

The prisoner are very happy to see us again, and they had some cakes made by them, we tasted and promise that at our next visit we would bring some local cakes, we got more recipe and two more logo. Long summery and discussion about what we have

done so far.

We took the local cake to them and we had a good time, then we told them about the

history of the recipe, we had a long conversation over the different Cakes, how they are made, and the different occasion in wich we eat them. The prisoner told us,

that at the next meetin they will bring some more Cakes made by them.

The prisoner kept their promise and came with a lots of cakes made in their Cell all very good, there was a long explanation of how difficult was for them to cook as they have very little facility, never the less they did a good job .

3 april 2014The meeting consisted on discussing the different products of Elba, such as Olive oil, vegetables, Fruits, Honey and what-ever is

produce in the Island.

We discussed everything including, Logo, Recipe, Cooking, about our next visit, also most

important, asking permission to cook in the kitchen's Prison.

We hope that it will be possible as the prisoner are looking forward to it.
