Bienvenidos a GAS-GAS

Nos alegra comprobar que se ha decidido por una moto GAS-GAS PAMPERA y le damos la bienvenida a la granfamilia de usuarios de GAS-GAS.Estudie bien su nueva mquina. En ella se refleja la experiencia acumulada en la competicin y que nos ha validola consecucin de importantes ttulos. Ahora usted dispone de una moto con la que, adems de sentirse a gusto,

le ofrece infinitas posibilidades para con su destreza a la vez de ofrecerle la mxima seguridad.

Las instrucciones que siguen a continuacin son el punto de referencia para el normal mantenimiento de suPAMPERA, y que deben permitirle un funcionamiento estable de todos los elementos por castigados que estossean. Su concesionario GAS-GAS le ofrecer en todo momento la informacin que precise.

Informacin generalPara el buen funcionamiento delmotor se recomienda 8 horas derodaje. Adems es importante,cada vez que se usa la moto, lle-var el motor a la temperatura p-tima de funcionamiento.Para la mezcla aceite-gasolina sedebe utilizar aceite sinttico osemi-sinttico de 2T al 1,5%.

La posicin del grifo de la gasolina debe figurar en sentido verticalpara el funcionamiento normal. Hacia adelante(reserva), atrs(cerrado).

The position of the fuel valve lever is: down for on, rearward of f, f owardreserve.

Para reponer aceite, debe tumbarse ligeramente la moto e introducirel aceite por el lado derecho del crter.Capacidad: 750c.c.(10W40).

The oil f il ler plug is located on the right engine case behind the rear

brake pedal (10W40) 750c.c. To ref il it , the bike must be in a sligtly

t ilt ed posit ion.

La cadena secundaria debe ser limpiada y engrasada con asiduidad,debido a su constante rozamiento y exposicin a todo tipo de elemen-tos.

The drive chain shrold be cleaned and lubricated often, due to it s constant

friction and its exposure to dirt and nud.

Para un suave funcionamiento del mando del gas se sebe angrasar elmanillar con una fina capa de lubricante y se debe mantener limpioel interior del puo.

Es necesario controlar peridicamente el estado de la buja.La separacin entre el electrodo y el arco debe ser de 0,6mm.

El mando del embrague debe estar regulado a la distancia necesariay la palanca no debe tener ms de 5mm. de tolerancia.Al igual que el embrague, la palanca del freno delantero debe estara la distancia ideal del accionamiento.La tolerancia no puede superar los 10mm.

The cluth lever should be set at the necessary distance from the grip

and it s free play adjusted to maximum of 5mm.

The front brake lever should also de set at the ideal posit ion.

I ts tolerance should not exceed 10mm.

The tension of the chain should allow it a movement of 1,5cm. at t he

tensioner block.

Para el tensado de la cadena y el centraje de la rueda posterior, el ejedispone de dos tuercas para su graduacin.

There are two adjustment nut s on the rear wheel spindle for adjust ing

the chain and aligning the rear wheel.

Es importante eliminar cualquier resto de aire del circuito de frenos.Para ello ejerciendo presin mediante el mando en el circuito y aflo-

jando los sangradores de las pinzas se puede eliminar cualquier restode aire.

done by operat ing the brake lever and loosening the bleed nipples on the

callipers.

Es importante controlar el nivel de gasolina dentro del carburador.Altura boya 18,5mm.

I t is important to cleck the level of the floats in the bowl of the carburetor.

The measurement is 18,5mm. (see il lustration) .

La distancia entre las lminas y los topes debe ser de 3,5mm. en laPampera 250, y 5mm. en la Pampera 125.

The reed stop plat e should be 3,5mm from the reeds surface on the

Pampera 250, and 5mm. on the Pampera 125.

La tolerancia de funcionamiento del cilindro debe estar entre 2,5 cen-tsimas y 4 centsimas como mximo.

The cylinder/ piston t olerance must be betwen 2,5 and 4 hundredtghs of

milimetres maximum.

Si el montaje del filtro de aire es correcto, en el pistn no debenapreciarse araazos.

I f the air f il ter has been propely maintained the piston skirt will be free

of scratches and abrasion.

Para sacar la turbina de la bomba de agua del circuito de refrigeracin,slo debe desenroscarse sta, quedando el retn totalmente accesible.

After the removal of the turbina blade the waterpump seal is easily

accessible. The turbine can be easily remove by unscrewing it .

Para extraer el pistn, slo es necesario sacar la fijacin del mbolo.

To remove the piston, remove the circlips and gudgeon pin ( see photo) .

Despus de muchas horas de utilizacin debe comprobarse el posibledesgaste de los discos del embrague.La medida para un correcto funcionamiento es de 2,9mm.

After many hours of use it is possible for the clut ch f iber plates to wear.The ninimum thickness is 2,9mm.

Los muelles que conforman la prensa del embrague deben tener unalongitud entre 37 y 38mm.

The clut ch springs should be 37mm. t o 38mm. long (see photo) .

El cuadro de mandos est compuesto por el contacto, velocmetro,testigos de intermitencia, luz de posicin y carretera.

The instrument panel consist of the ignit ion switch, speedometer, and

warning lamps for t he indicators, t he headlight and pilot ligth.

El desgaste de las pastillas de freno, tanto delanteras como traseras,debe ser controlado peridicamente para poder disponer de una eficazfrenada en cualquier circunstancia.

Periodically inspect t he brake pads for wear. Clean t he components andreplace the pads if required.

La Gas-Gas Pampera incorpora un sistema anti-robo, el cual se activagirando la direccin hacia la derecha combinado con la accin de lallave.

The Gas-Gas Pampera is fit ted wit h an anti-t heft system which involvesturing the steering to the rigth at the same t ime as turing the key.

Con el cuadro de mandos compacto y situado junto al puo izquierdose pueden accionar las luces, sealizacin, bocina y el botn de paromotor.

The handlebar swit ches located next to the left hand grip operate the

light s, indicators, horn and the out-out switch.

Peridicamente se deben limpiar verificar y engrasar los ajustes de lasarticulaciones de la parte inferior de la suspensin trasera.

I t is important to periodically inspect, clean and grease the bearings and

seals in the rear suspension and swingarm.

Es importante desmontar y verificar peridicamente el estado de loscojinetes y apoyos del basculante.

Periodically clean and lubricate the rear suspension linkage, and t ighten

if necessary.

Cronmetro.La funcin cronmetro visualiza el tiempo transcurrido desde la ltima activacin del modo trabajo. Inicialmentese muestran minutos y segundos. Transcurrida una hora se muestran horas y minutos

Velocidad mxima.Muestra la mxima velocidad alcanzada durante el modo trabajo activado.

Velocida promedio.Muestra la velocidad promedio alcanza durante el modo trabajo activado.

Distancia total.Visualiza la distancia total recorrida desde la puesta en marcha del equipo por primera vez.El valor acumulado se mantiene de forma permanente, incluso sin pilas, y es independiente del estado del modotrabajo.

Instalacin de las pilas

- Para reemplazar la pilas, proceder a liberar la tapa portapilas destornillando los dos tornillos traseros del multifuncin.- Sustituir la pilas agotadas por las nuevas, conservando la misma polaridad tal como se indica en el grabado.- Finalmente atornillar de nuevo la tapa (Fig. 2)- Si el proceso anterior ha sido correcto, se encendern momentneamente todos los segmentos y leyendas de la pantalla (Fig. 3) Tras unos segundos aparecer el smbolo del reloj y la lectura a ceros (Fig. 4),

apagndose en unos diez segundos.

Velocidad instantnea.

Al poner en movimiento la moto aparecer, de forma automtica, la lectura de Km/h.Mientras la moto este en movimiento, en la pantalla tendremos la lectura de la velocidadinstantnea (Fig. 5). Al detener la moto la pantalla permanecer encendida durante unos diez segundos con la

indicacin de cero Km/h. Al cabo de este tiempo, si no se ha reanudado la marcha, aparecer en pantalla la ltimafuncin seleccionada con anterioridad. La pantalla se apagar totalmente al cabo de un minuto si en este periodono se reanuda la marcha o se selecciona alguna funcin.Mientras se visualiza esta funcin no se puede seleccionar ninguna otra.

Puesta en hora.

Pulsar la tecla MODE hasta que aparezca el smbolo del reloj. Pulsando la tecla START los dgitos de los minutos yel smbolo del reloj parpadearn, indicando que estamos en el modo de puesta en hora (Fig. 6).Mediante pulsaciones breves de la tecla START se har avanzar el indicador de minutos.Mantenimiento pulsada dicha tecla el avance ser automtico, detenindose este al soltar la tecla.Pulsando la tecla MODE parpadearn los digitos de las horas, procedindose de igual modo.Una vez seleccionados los valores correctos pulsaremos la tecla MODE para fijar dichos valores. Los dgitos ya noparpadearn.

Work mode.

This opt ion is selected by means of the MODE key. By pressing START it goes from the deact ivat ed state (OFF) to theactivated stated (ON) and viceversa.When it is in the activated mode, the symbol is visualised permanent ly on the screen. The gathering of data thenbegins and the calculations are carried out to obtain the information which is visualised in t he function Chronometer,part ial Distance, maximum Speed and average Speed.When OFF is pressed, the adquisition of data and the calculat ions are detained, but the calculat ed values are not lost,and can be visualised by select ing the corresponding function.By activat ing once more the work mode (ON), t he values previously stored are wiped out .

Chronomet er.The chronometer visualises the time passed since the last activation of the work mode. I nit ially, minutes and secondsare visualised. After an hour has passed, hours and minut es are visualised.

Maximum speed.

This shows the maximum speed reached during the activated work mode.

Average speed.

This shows the average speed reached during t he activated work mode.

This visualises the total distance covered since the moment when the equipment was turned on f or the f irst t ime.The value accumulated is maint ained permanently, even without batt eries, and is independent of the condit ion of thework mode.

- To replace the batteries, remove the cover of the battery space by unscrewing the two screws at the back of themulti-function.- Subst it ute the old bat teries with the new ones, maint aining the same polarit y which is indicated on the diagram.- Final ly, screw on the cover again. ( Fig. 2)- I f t he previous process has been carried out correct ly, all the segments and legends of t he screen wil l appearmomentaril y. ( Fig. 3) . After a few seconds, t he clock symbol will appear wit h a reading of zeros ( Fig. 4) ,

disappearing after 10 seconds.

I nstant aneous speed.

On turning on the motor, t he reading of Km/ h. will appear automatically.While the motor is in operation, the instantaneous speed reading wil l remain on the screen (Fig. 5) .On detaining the motor, the screen will remain li t up for about ten seconds with t he indication of zero Km/h. After this

t ime, if the motor is not t urned on again, the last funct ion previously selected will appear on the screen. The screen wil lturn off completely aft er one minute, if during this t ime the power has not been turned on again or if a function hasbeen selected.While this funct ion is visualised, it is not possible to select any other one.

Set t ing t he t ime.

Press the MODE key unt il the clock symbol appears. By pressing the START key, t he minut e digit s and t he clock symbol

will fl ash, indicating that i t is in t ime set mode (Fig. 6) .By pressing light ly on the START key, t he minut es indicator wil l be advanced.On keeping the same key pressed, the advance wil l be automatic, being detained on let t ing go of the key.On pressing the MODE key, the hour digit s wil l f lash, proceeding in the same way as above.Once the correct values have been selected, press the MODE key to give said values.
