Albufeira’s scenic, historical and cultural diversity make it stand out from the rest of the Algarve, and APAL’s goal is to promote and divulge tourism in the municipality.
Created in 2004, APAL (abbreviation of the Portuguese Agência de Promoção de Albufeira, or Albufeira Promotion Bureau) is a joint public-private association whose members believe in the quality of Albufeira’s tourism offering. The “Turismo de Albufeira” brand logo appears on all their communiqués and advertisements.
The Bureau’s functions and responsibilities include the organisation of specific events aimed at promoting Albufeira in Portugal and overseas, with an emphasis not only on the Sun & Beach product but also on entertainment, the local cuisine, sport, culture, history and nature. APAL is also concerned with developing and undertaking tourism-related studies, projects and events aimed at highlighting the quality of tourism in Albufeira.
APAL is fortunate to be able to count on the support of its experienced members who operate in business areas such as accommodation, travel agencies, golf, marinas, restaurants, bars, discos, catering, car hire, property, advertising, theme parks, tourism entertainment, shops and other services.
